"Homes Four Our Troops" Bennefit Raises Over 130,000 Lindens

On Sunday November 22, Veterans Isle had a special Thanksgiving week performance at their music stage. Four live musicians, and the supporting band of one, appeared at the event. The show was to raise funds for the "Homes for Our Troops" charity. Frets Nirvana, one of the musicians, helped to organize the concert and dance.

We have a great way for you to kick off your Thanksgiving week. Join us tonight, November 22 in support of Homes For Our Troops, Have a great night of music and get in the holiday spirt by helping those who have scarified so much for our freedom. We have a great lineup for your musical pleasure:

5 PM Keeba Tammas
6 PM Quartz
7 PM Max Kleene
8 PM Frets Nirvana

Veterans Isle usually holds it's events on the last Sunday of every month. But perhaps as this month it would be on Thanksgiving weekend, perhaps they felt attendance would be lower then. Yours truly wasn't there as he had made other plans that night. Fortunately there was a video available of Frets himself playing one of his songs.

(Click here if the video fails to play)

Robert Little recorded this at our vets benefit last night …just giving my all to help those who guarantee our freedom. My wish for all of you …Long live Life!

The benefit would raise a total of 131,500 Linden dollars for charity.

ABOUT HOMES FOR OUR TROOPS  - HFOT builds homes as a departure point for Veterans to rebuild their lives, and once again become highly productive members of society. Despite their life-altering injuries, many Veterans have embarked on new careers, completed their college degrees, or started families. Empowered by the freedom a mortgage-free and specially adapted home brings, these Veterans can now focus on their recovery and return to their life’s work of serving others. Many have embraced their roles as motivational speakers, sharing their messages of persevering through tragedy with groups and classrooms around the country; others take to a national platform to promote awareness of veteran suicide, homelessness and PTSD. Their incredible stories are the driving force for the work for HFOT.
