It's time!!! I know you appreciate all our CDS government does for us. CDS is unique. Because we elect our government, we have a say in what's done. Over the years, many of our citizens have stepped up and taken a turn at running for, and running our government. While there are responsibilities, there are also so many opportunities to get to know your neighbors better, to enjoy the satisfactions from helping people. So how about it? Is this term your time to step into the governmental limelight? Will you declare your candidacy to be a member of the 35th Representative Assembly? Will you declare your candidacy to be the next Chancellor?
As stated in the announcement, this will be the 35th term for the CDS's government. Elections are held twice a year, in the spring and fall. Candidates are asked to step up for the offices of the Representative Assembly, or RA, and the office of Chancellor. To be eligible to run, one needs to be a landowner in the community.
So far, as of the writing of this article, four people have stepped up to run (and rerun) for office in the RA, Almut Brunswick, Tailsworth Horsley, Laure Levenque, and Rosie Gray. For Chancellor, Kyoko Furse-Barzane (Samara Barzane) is running for re-election for the office. Anyone else interested in running has until Tuesday May 4.
For any questions about the election ask Delia Lake.
