For those looking for a little game time, one place you can head to in Second Life is the Firecracker Arcade. Located in Montecito Bay, the venue is owned and run by Mateo Firecaster. While some locations have just a few games, Firecracker has plenty.
The ground floor has some table games, pool, air hockey, and a couple others. There's also skeeball, hoop games, shooting games, and a dancing game. There's also a novelty game "Off With Their Head," and a mechanical bull. Getting on the bull will send you on a wild ride that will usually throw you off after a few seconds.
The bottom floor is the bowling alley, with several bowling lanes. You'll need to click on one to get a bowling ball and attach it to play. There's also a few other games, such as one in which you try to run over as many slimes as you can within a time limit.
The top floor will give those who grew up in the 1980s memories of the video arcade. There's dozens of arcade games there able to be played. Some are actual games that were in the arcade such as Punch Out and Elevator Action. There's also some games from home video systems such as Kid Icarus and Sonic the Hedgehog. And some computer games are represented, such as Wolfenstein 3D and Sim-City.
The Firecracker Arcade is in the north-central part of Montecito Bay, near the Roller Club Disco. Those dropping by the club on Wednesday nights can always go to the arcade for games before or after the tunes.
