There's been more than a little chatter about the results of Tuesday's Presidential Election in the US, of which former President Trump won. Besides being the first President to serve two separate administrations, he's also the first Republican non-incumbent to win the popular vote since 1988. While every election has brought cheers from the supporters of the winners, and some sadness from those who didn't win, Trump's victory has had many Democrats not just worrying, but in outright despair.

Rosedale commented that a Harris administration would have been a "'rip the bandaid off' moment," involving much civil unrest and probably some violence, but there would at least be "some reductions in inequality." With Trump in power, he feels while there will be gains, they will be temporary and only going to the wealthiest Americans, "with overall inequality increasing further until some new breaking point is reached."

On a final note, one should take care when discussing politics, especially when trying to have a reasonable discussion with someone with a different viewpoint. If you say you've been trying to see why a relative with extreme views thinks that way, if they hear it wrong they may think you agree with those views.

That right and left remark, the american left isnt actually left, it's center right at best, but most americans who use the term left in politics especially when refering to democrats don't actually know what left is. nobody in the democrats is calling for abolishing capitol or for that matter taking the money out of anything their just calling for a restructuring and a use of the tax dollar to address public needs where as the far right(republicans) are pretty much the party of well lower your taxes so you can live better, and small government, but then they do nothing to shrink government, just put it in their pocket, I always support the democrats because their the lesser of the corrupt american system, and not say, a party that everytime it gets its way pulls things further right outright to nazi ideaology, much as I've warned you and youve belittled me in response, Philip is missing a big part of the picture, but still, he gets it much more than you do, why dont you? also I think hes refraining from mentioning how certain republican plans such as project 2025 could end SL in the collateral of its anti-trans bigotry, that is to say a big part of project 2025 goes even the slightest bit of sexual teasing is porn, but then also it lumps any lgbtq education that helps people understand it so they discriminate it less as porn too, now SL has a lot of actual adult material, so illegalizing porn would illegalize SL

Just saying this is where your ideaology goes, its just Nazi Ideals, masked with a coating of sugar, or propaganda that were protecting the american dream and family values, and all these little undefined things, things that people should be free to make of them what they wish if they stand for freedom, these protections for freedom of religion for example, republicans went pretty mask off when saying not freedom from religion.

ReplyDeleteSocialism is a system of shared ownership of the businesses, all employees vote on company changes and direction, its more democratic of a system than capitalism, it does not abolish money, it simply gives everyone employed by the company a stake in it, this does not mean such companies lack management, as managerial roles can be voted in as needed
Communism Abolishes money and creates social contracts, the society becomes classless when under communism, and the citizens are equal whether it be in equality or oppression, the reason communism has never worked is not that it has always had a far right authoritarian fascist at the top of it so it has always functioned oppressively,
