Cartoon of The Day: "Lost Bet?"

Taken at the Happy Vixen on December 2025. The lines between me and Umbra were from a more recent conversation, though, which had me thinking of the scene.

Misadventures in Rust Angels: The Base Defense Contest

As a survival MMO, Rust is among those most noted for it's competitive (or downright merciless in some places) PvP action. Wanting to avoid the "PvP kiddies," many players prefer the PvE servers such as the Angels server for Nydia Tungsten and some of her friends. But how do you keep things from getting too predictable and give something extra special for the players to do? For server moderator Umbra, the answer in August was a race. For September, he had another competition: who could design the best base in terms of resisting a raid.

Rust: Automotive Addition and "Wacky Races" Part Deux

Months ago, Nydia Tungsten and a number of our Second Life friends started playing Rust once more, and with the addition of cars decided to hold a race.  About a month ago, I joined up with them. And when there was talk of another race, I was interested. The moderator build the course, and a date was soon chosen. Several people, including myself, would take part in this new round of "Wacky Races." So who won?

A Jailbreak In Archeage

It's been a while since the Newser wrote about the MORPG Archeage. This game has attracted the attention of a few fans of the paper, notably because of the feline PCs, and it's detailed crafting system. One player, Jasmine Dawn, decided to explore around a little, and seeing the Solis Prison decided to fly over it. Unfortunately, her curiosity got her into a situation that left her feeling a little "cagey." So she took matters into her own hands.

Reader Submitted: Unintended Performance

Jasmine Dawn had an interesting story to tell the other night. "You know what Umbra did the other night?" She had been at one of the Happy Vixen Beach Club's events, which is not far from her cottage, "I was up on the roof of the club dancing around (next to) Geer, nodded off, (and) woke up to still dancing back in my house. He (Umbra) had pushed me off the roof, across the land, down the dock, up the stairs, in the house, placed himself at my oriental string instrument, and recorded me dancing while I was afk."

So here you are Umbra. With Jasmine's okay to the Newser, here's her unintended performance.
