Safe Waters Foundation Weekly Meeting

 

 

 For those interested in Second Life's underwater areas, and the people who have events there, you might want to check out the Safe Waters Foundation's weekly meetup, which is Saturdays at 10 AM SL time.

 

Mers Helping Mers Be Mers - Safe Waters Foundation weekly gathering, 10am SLT Saturday.  This is a discussion about all things mermaid, merman, and aquatic.  Lots of things going on - it's always a fun gathering, and all are welcome.  Please arrive a little early if you can, dress low lag and request the talking stick if you have something to share.

Third Party Viewer Developer Meeting

Besides the "Snowball Showdown," Friday December 15 also had the Third-Party Viewer Developer Meeting. The teams of Firestorm and various other third party viewers sent people over for a discussion with Oz Linden and a few other Lindens in both chat and voice. The meet-up took place in the Hippotropolis sim.

Lindens at the Cake Stage

There's been a lot going on at the SL13B, and a little time to write it. One event that stood out was called the "The Roleplay Mashup Meetup," which took place on Monday. But for many residents, the name was a little confusing as it was intended as a costume party and not a roleplay, and to many the costume part got lost in that it was a chance to meet up with a number of Lindens. Some were Lindens whom were familiar faces, such as Xiola and April Linden. But others were less than familiar. There were also a few other notable personalities, and no shortage of avatars.

Linden Inworld Meetup in Basilique

Last week, Thursday April 14, there was an "inworld meetup" where residents could meet up with and ask a number of Lindens questions. Yours truly only arrived at the tail end of it, and heard only a few questions on the SS Galaxy that went unanswered. Daniel Voyager posted that there were also questions about the SL12B and SL 2.0 (or Project Sansar as the Lab calls it). Inara Pey called it the largest turnout for a Linden meetup since they resumed.

The meetup took place in the Basilique sim, of which one of the rules had a number of residents complaining. More about this complaint later.
