Reminder: Relay Kickoff Today, 10 AM

 

 Just a reminder, today at 10 AM is the kickoff event for the official Relay for Life of Second Life. It is taking place on American Cancer Society and it's two sister sims. For those interested, it's suggested you arrive a little early and be ready for some lag.

Getting Ready For I Pink I Can

 

 

North of the American Cancer Society sim, things are looking spooky. In American Cancer Society2, I saw some dark scenery with dim skies and dark buildings. These are shops for the upcoming Making Strides's "I Pink I Can" fundraiser, a Halloween-themed fundraiser to donate money to fight breast cancer.

Get ready to celebrate life, spread awareness, and support a great cause at our spectacular "I Pink I Can" Breast Cancer Event! We've got an amazing lineup of live entertainment, thrilling attractions, and heartwarming activities for the whole family to enjoy. Together, we can make a difference and help those affected by breast cancer.

The organizers say to expect live performances, camping, trick or treating, shopping, comedy, movies at a drive-in, campfire spooky tales, and more.

 

The event goes on from Friday September 27 to Sunday October 20.

The "Last Day of Relay Party"

 

 

 Picture from Wildstar Beaumont. On Sunday June 30, the final event of the Relay Season was held, the Last Day of Relay party.

 Our last day of Relay part continues at the Relay Stage  come on over and join us ....  the party continues until 7pm slt tonight!

 

It was a great Relay season with a total of 115,523,610 Linden dollars raised, or $462,094.00 USD. But people are already looking forward to the next one , starting at Feb 15, 2025. And between now and then are events like the Fandom Con, Making Strides, and the Winter Expo. 

Work On Relay Track Begins

 

 

It's only a few weeks until the Relay Weekend. But already work is being done on the track. At American Cancer Society2, I saw a corner of it had been completed. The temporary track sims aren't on the map yet, but soon will be.

The Relay Weekend takes place from Saturday June 8 to Sunday June 9.
