Tripp Foxtail and The Travelers Station

 

Last week, Tripp Foxtail announced he was closing his several locations in Second Life, including the main one, the Traveler's Station. This was soon followed by him saying the Traveler's Station would be staying. I ended up having a conversation with Tripp, and he would show me a few things.

Free Copy of "The Satanic Verses" at CDS Bookstore

 

It's been ten days since noted author Salman Rushdie was attacked on stage just before he was about to make a speech at an event. As a tribute to him, a free copy of his controversial work, "The Satanic Verses" is offered at Rose Coloured Glasses in Colonial Nova. Rose Gray announced the new book in the CDS group.

Thinking about the writer, Salman Rushdie and the horrific attack on him recently, I have created a mesh book in his honour. It's free in the Rose Coloured Glasses Books of Distinction book shop.  Come and get a free copy for your library and learn a little bit more about the writer. LM attached.

Following the publishing of the book, Rushdie faced numerous threats by Islamic extremists, and the leader of Iran called for his death. Rushdie has expressed doubts a book like this could be published today because of the climate of fear produced by the extremists.

CDS Announcement: Indigoskye Books is Open!

 

I want to welcome the citizens of CDS to the opening of Indigoskye Books, a bookstore dedicated to science fiction, fantasy, and speculative poetry.

Downstairs is the bookstore where you can find information and a link to my latest book "Eccentric Orbits 3" an anthology of speculative poetry.  Many of the top poets in speculative poetry supported this volume with their outstanding poems.  If you wondered what speculative poetry is, this is the anthology to explore what this genre has to offer.

As time goes on, you will find a library of notecards featuring my reviews of classic science fiction and fantasy books along with more speculative poetry.  The first few are available on the shelves featuring classic science fiction books..

Upstairs is home to Gallery Indigoskye.  A small gallery featuring my second life art.  The paintings are for sale or click the sign upstairs to join my Flickr feed that showcases my travels around Second Life.

Find Indigoskye Books in Colonia Nova, just north of the main square and across the street from the public baths.

CDS Announcement: Rose Coloured Glasses - Books of Distinction

It's a little book shop located on the forum in Colonia Nova. We have free mesh books we're giving away, that include a copy of the book and a synopsis notecard inside. We can't give away the text of real books of course, due to copyright, but these synopsis will give you a good idea of what the book is about, and a nice mesh book display for your home or office.
