Rowena Dubrovna stated if her Relay team passed a certain milestone, she'd wear a micro-sized gecko avatar for a week. Here she is at a Relay Rap as the small scaley, with Madonna Daehlie just behind her. Considering the most well-known gecko in popular media, the punch line was obvious.

You are invited to participate in our next adventure! We have a new challenge for artists and builders - because our theme this time is this: Great Things Come in Small Packages.

Like a fable borne upon a mist of time, a magical, mysterious transformation is wrought upon the ancient dry lake bed we know as the playa. When the mist clears you see an alpine wonderland of mountains, hills and valleys.

Oh, but that is not all! As you draw in for a closer look, you notice something incredible: everything is small in size. You are surrounded by miniature villages and diminutive trains, with LIlliputian creatures and beings populating the scene. But don't let their small sizes fool you - things are rarely as they appear.

Doesn't that just stir up all sorts of things in your mind? Petites, Tinies, Micros..miniature camps and mini-mutant vehicles, the world goes small! Of course, we'll have a fun little Burn, too. You are invited to participate!

Tinies, petites and other small avatar creatives are especially invited to be a part of this event, to build, DJ and perform.

SL Video: "Smallest Human Avatar Second Life"

From Terry Shuriken, "Somewhere between 1/3rd or 1/4th of an inch tall. This is my smallest avatar! I made it using avatar workbench/blender." Hamlet Au would write about the avatar, noting that while a technical feat, such an extremely small avatar had problems with the user keeping an eye on it while moving. "Even the slowest possibe walking speed (or flying speed) moves the avatar a mile (in porportion to its size."

Interview with Lomgren Smalls (May 2009)

Today marks the birthday of a unique individual in Second Life whom was small in size, but big at heart. Lomgren Smalls was best known for his (almost) always wearing a six-inch high avatar of his own design and creation. In May 2009, Bixyl Shuftan interviewed him for Second Life Newspaper, which is being reprinted in the Newser.

SL Pictures: Two Micros

A not too common sight: two kinds of micro avatar right next to each other. For those not in the know, a "micro" is an avatar even smaller than a "tiny," about a foot high or less. On the left is the MK Microfox, on the right a LomTech "MicroPaw" made by Lomgren Smalls. The Lom is actually half the height of the microfox, but the picture was taken at a certain angle so they appeared to be the same height.

King Kong vs Mega-Macro Lomgren

Among the unofficial events held in in the Relay sims between the Walk and the teardown was a party thrown by the Relay Rockers. A party crasher soon appeared in a gorilla big enough to be King Kong’s cousin. How does one top a giant ape? One skilled builder in the party had a way.
