Cartoon of The Day: Pigging Out

Taken at the Bellisseria Fairgrounds. Pig avatars are very rare in Second Life. But dropping by the Bellisseria Anniversary celebrations, I saw a couple.

So why are they so hard to find? Maybe because they don't want to be anyone's bacon.

Cartoon of The Day: Emergency Food Supply

Taken on a shopping trip. This lady had her pet pig with her. Potbelly pigs do have a small following in real life. But most still see them as food.

Cartoon of the Day

Taken at a Relay event. I never did find out why the pig was dressed the way it was, but it looked like a case of "green legs on ham" to me.

Cartoon of the Day: High on the Hog

Taken at the Oahu sim. Real foxes are by their nature strict carnivores, and it's difficult to imagine one gene-engineered to be humanlike down to the capacity for an omnivorous diet to give up their taste for meat (though in some stories such as "Zootopia" they're limited to meat substitutes). Still, it's obvious this anthro fox wasn't brought up in a society that banned pork.

Scenes From Burn2 - "Where Pigs Fly"

While attending a party at Burn2, where DJ Quark was spinning the tunes, people began pointing up. I took a look, and there was this low flying pig just above with several people on it. But it didn't stay around for long. It soon picked up speed and sped away.

There's a lot going on in Second Life right now, so a full story will be in a few days. For more, you can check our Press Day article, or Daniel Voyager's Blog and his Flickr site.
