Luna's Empire Fallout Equestria Ghost Hunt

Once again, the Luna's Empire Event sim is hosting a Halloween Ghost Hunt event. But this time, it has a new twist. This year, it has a "Fallout" theme, taking place decades after a civilization-ending event, and this time you take down monsters.

Near the entrance, you pick up some gear, the weapon and a couple HUDs. It is recommended you take off unnecessary HUDs and scripts to lighten your load to make play easier for you, and others.

The lower right HUD keeps track of how much you've been slimed, which happens when monsters touch you, which clogs your screen and reduces the amount of candy you get from busted creatures. It also keeps track of how much candy you have, and what fighter class you are. The HUD on the upper left shows your location on the map, as well as locations of some monsters.

Some monsters can be taken on single-hamded. Others are stronger, and require a team effort. But they drop more candy when beaten. There's also a boss monster in a special area that's only accessible every so often.

You can exchange the candy for prizes near the entrance. While some are pony-themed and not much good for human or furry or tiny avatars, others are useable by most everyone..

The game costs nothing, so if you're a pony of Fallout fan, or like busting monsters in general, come on over and zap away.

Reader Submitted: Xanadu's "Fallout" Party

Perri Prinz is a DJ and the owner of the Xanadu classic rock club in Second Life, as well as the writer of "Spectral Shadows." On the night of Sunday April 9, Xanadu ran a "Fallout" themed party. A game of a post-apocalyptic setting might seem like an odd theme for a classic rock club. But as it turns out, the music from the Fallout games comes from what Perri describes as a "lost period" in music history that the game was helping to revive interest in. Perri would write about the event afterwards.

Game Review: Fallout 4

One of the games generating the most buzz among circles of gamers is Fallout 4, the latest in it's series with the first sold in 1997, this particular game selling 12 million units 24 hours after it's release. Set more than 200 years after a nuclear war that devastated the world, the player takes on various quests, deals with NPCs, and of course takes on bad guys while leveling up. So what did Nydia think?

The Oct. 12 Battle for Bastogne

Usually in the New Bastogne and Fallout sims in the WW2 RP area, pitched battles last an hour or two at most. But on October 12, it went on for hour after hour. One of SL Newser's reporters dropped in to see some of the match, and an unexpected ending.
