Going About Gen Con


The Gen Con is in Second Life, or at least part of it. Described as "the largest tabletop-game convention in North America," it was canceled this year in real life due to the Pandemic. So the con went online. Part of it was here in Second Life. There was plenty to see. But as this was a gaming con, there were games to be done as well.

Scenes From New Year's Eve 2016


On the night of December 31, Second Life bade farewell, or cursed good-riddance, to 2016, and rang in the new year of 2017. Different communities and locations had their own parties and celebrations.  From the Sunweaver's Goblin Cave, to the Furry Fashion Lounge's "Lem n' Ems" event, to the "Prim Drop" in Bay City, there were plenty of events.

Annoucement: Party Hearty at the Sunweaver's Goblin Cave New Years Eve



You're invited to party in the New Year at the Goblin Cave Saturday 8PM SLT to...whenever. There will be 3 levels of dancing, games, and chatting in a Jacuzzi. Games include Slopoly (SL version of Monopoly), Cards Against Humanity and a playable pool table. Music will be provided by Farshore Radio with some live play. For a more lonely spot with your partner climb up in the fairy mountain where several comfortable places from mats to a pool are for your use.

The “Cataclysm” Continues in Azeroth

Recently, "World of Warcraft" went through it's third expansion, "Cataclysm." Following the coverage of the wolf-like Worgen, yours truly took a look at other aspects of the game, as well as what a few people are saying about the online game and it's future.
