Veterans Isle Raises 165,000 Lindens At Benefit Concert

 

 On Wednesday August 2, Veterans Isle had it's monthly fundraising concert. The event, which took place high above the sim, was to benefit the Homes For Our Troops charity. The event ran for five hours from 4 to 9PM SL time.

DJ Zack Friller started things off at 4PM. At 5PM, it was Franklee Anatra's turn on stage. Chapman Zane started singing the tunes on his guitar at 6PM. 7PM had Marqs Desade. And last but not least at 8PM was Grace Loudon and Wes West. On either side of the stage were two house-shaped kiosks people donated money into.

As the event went on, people were encouraged by the staff and singers to donate, sometimes a person would offer to match the next 5000 L donated.

By the end of the event, a total of exactly 165,000 Linden dollars had been donated to both kiosks.
