Furry Fashion's 14th Anniversary Celebration

Furry Fashion is having an anniversary celebration, it's fourteenth, this Saturday May 1. The first event starts at 2PM SL time , and goes on all afternoon and into late at night with the last event going on to at least 10PM (but will likely go on a little longer).

"Techincally FF's birthday is the 5th," Amethyst Crystal, the owner of Furry Fashion explained, "but the 1st is on a weekend allowing more people to join the contests. Every contest will have the usual linden prize (tho a bit bigger) and there will be mystery raffles all the way through every event. The prizes will range from GiftCards to stores not just FF but to places like Half-Deer, Nomad, DRD and Lore and other prizes will include Mods I'll buy the winner directly from Marketplace. They won't know what they're winning until it's announced to keep it more fun! Fort and I are teaming up for the first event (2pm SLT) to kick everything off.

"If someone had told me I'd still be running FF 14 years later I'd have told them they're dreaming but here I am. I didn't expect to honestly with all the health issues in the past couple of years but here I still am, mostly in thanks to my awesome staff supporting me and keeping things going."

The New Furry Fashion Lounge

 

Some news for fans of Furry Fashion. Their Lounge recently got a makeover, and was reopened a few days ago. The Newser was there for the grand-reopening event, which had a birthday cake for the DJ.

Furry Fashion Winterfest Hunt

 

 On Monday December 21, Furry Fashion started it's Winterfest Hunt, Amethyst Crystal giving a few details in Discord and the SL group.

From now until Jan 1st you have to find the snowflakes hidden around the sim, from the Winterfest area to Lilyvale there is 30 hidden each with a prize, find it, touch and receive a gift! Staff do NOT know where they are, this is just a bit of fun so don't be whiney or cheat!

Black Friday Sale At Furry Fashion

With Thanksgiving over, it's the unofficial start of the Christmas Shopping season, Black Friday. And there's a place in Second Life having a Black Friday sale: Furry Fashion.

From now until 30th November you can get 50% off FF products at the FF Main store only (Sale is not on marketplace) , FF vendors belonging to Amethyst Crystal and Becky Doulton ONLY are doing the sale so make sure you check who owns which vendors before you pay (Amethyst's are purple, Beckys are teal/blue!

As the announcment says, the sale is inworld only. And only two merchants, Amethyst Crystal and Becky Doulton, are taking part in the half-off sale. While some other items may be discounted, only Amethyst's and Becky's are officially participating in the shopping event.

Announcement: Furry Fashion Changing Sim Rating to Adult

To Our Valued Patrons,

We have big changes coming to Furry Fashion and we want to make sure everyone is in the loop so things go smoothly!

2018 is bringing in a new Furry Fashion, we will be converting from a mature sim to an adult sim. So what does this mean for you?

It means more merchants, new themes, and new attractions!

Of course, it also means new rules. We want to be clear that we do not plan to be a "Yiff" sim, there are enough of them as there is. We will be welcoming adult attachments with some restrictions, and we will be having (private) adult attractions.

This also means we will be disallowing child avatars and products on sim as well. But fear not! We will have a separate FF branch for our merchants and patrons that enjoy these!

Thank you for taking time to read this, we hope 2018 will be a killer year for us and we look forward to working with you!

Furry Fashion's Halloween Area

It's the time of year when Halloween is in the air, and one place that's having plenty of Halloween-themed fun is Furry Fashion. For the owner, Amethyst Crystal, it's her favorite time of year. She and her staff have a Halloween-themed area above the main mall, which one can not just explore for some frightful fun, but also do a Halloween hunt and get some free items.

New Look For The Furry Fashion Lounge

The last time I checked out the Furry Fashion Lounge, the place resembled a haunted castle. The place was a bit creepy, which suggests they may be getting for Halloween early. But it wasn't deterring the crowd. Going in, the music was packed and the music was great.

The Furry Fashion Halloween Hunt for 2016

It's October and time for Halloween. Maybe you're looking for a spooky place to explore. Maybe you're looking for somewhere to shop for an outfit or avatar just right for a Halloween party. Or maybe you're in the mood for a shopping hunt to scoop up a few freebies. As it turns out, there's a place where you can do all three: The 2016 Furry Fashion Halloween Hunt. At the special area high above the main store, one can explore the spooky scenery, shop, and hunt for the thirty spell books, each containing a prize.

Announcement:: Furry Fashion Halloween Hunt Starts Today

Today marks the first day of Furry Fashion's Halloween Hunt. Besides the spooky scenery, cool avatars and clothes to buy in the stalls, and a dark castle to explore, there's a hunt in which you look for spellbooks placed around the special area, each with a prize. How many of the thirty can you find?

We'll have a full-sized review up after the weekend. For now, head over to Furry (198, 167, 2480) for the Halloween goodies. And while the name of the store may be "Furry," most of the clothes can fit just about everyone with two legs taller than a tiny or pixie.

New Furry Fashion Lounge

On Monday August 22, The Furry Fashion Lounge revealed their latest redesign. Unlike the previous one used until Sunday, this one was at ground level. So those who didn't have the LM didn't have to fly up to it. As Furry Fashion does not normally have Monday events, this was a "Come As You Are" with a 6000 Linden prize. A number showed up in Crux avatars, a favorite dress-up avatar for several in the mall and lounge's group.

Amethyst Crystal, the owner of Furry Fashion, was there. Rather than dancing, she was making subtle humorous remarks to the patrons' various puns.

Furry Fashion Turns Nine

Saturday May 7 was the Ninth Anniversary party of Furry Fashion. Since April 30, the sim-wide store had been doing a hunt in which thirty free items were hidden, available for anyone who found them. And on Saturday was the main event, taking place in the Furry Fashion Lounge, an event going on for over ten hours from 12 Noon SL time to sometime past 10PM.

Amethyst Crystal, the owner of the store, was there, along with her longtime friend Fortunas Sands, who was one of the DJs at the event. Many of those there sported blue and purple avatars or outfits, and indeed the theme for 2-4PM was Best in Blue, and 4-6 PM was Best in Purple. 12 Noon's theme was for items bought in the store. 6PM was Come As You Are, a theme repeated for the "Afterparty" at 8PM.

 On occasion, a random prize giver would give someone an outfit or accessory at random. Yours truly ended up handed a couple of no-transfer skirts though. Fortunately there was a freebie avatar available for pickup next to the cake. And there was no shortage of avatars around, mostly furred, though a few dragon and human ones dropped by. And the prizes on the boards, originally set to 2,000 Lindens, swelled to larger size, the 6PM event's prize rising to a whopping 15,000 Lindens! DJ Scratchmusikatt spun the tunes for the prime time event.

The 15K prize was split between Emorald, who came in first place with 7500, Takuan, and Jyvris.

We here at Furry Fashion would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all of our staff and patrons for making the sim's 9th birthday a smashing success! Without all of you, we would be nothing, and you all turned out for the most epic party we've had yet and made it one to remember. Thank you all so much!

Furry Fashion is in the Furry sim, the lounge at Furry (167, 190, 59 ), which has events sis days a week. Tuesdays to Fridays from 6-8PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 3-5 PM and 6-9PM.

You will find them on ALL the FF parcels on sim (Main store, mall, lounge, sandbox, artist's alley,

avatar den and gacha store)

There are NONE in the air or in anyone else's parcels.

All cakes are set to 0L and will give contents in a folder.

FF Staff do NOT know where they are.

As usual no cheating, landmarking, using huds or giving away locations is allowed. Security will ban

people who take advantage of the hunt and spoil it for the rest of the hunters for the duration of the

hunt (which means you'll miss out on the FF birthday parties too!)

The Furry Fashion Halloween Hunt

It's October, and that means for the Furry Fashion store, it's time for their Halloween Hunt. Running from October 1st last week until Halloween night, the event promises a new place to explore, freebies to pick up, and spooky Halloween-ish fun.

"We've been working on this all summer," Amethyst Crystal (Amethysia) told me about the event, "Basically theres a hunt in a special Halloween area, you get a hud as you go in and put it on and look for bats. the bats give out prizes as you find them and if you find them all you get a bonus gift box. there's also 'trick or treat' bats which will trick you but also give the chance to give a exclusive limited edition item too. There's also special halloween shops set up by various merchants."

Amethyst and her friend Fortunas Sands gave me an early peek at the Halloween area. "Theres a maze and graveyard, witch's house and petshop, along with a surprise or two," Amethyst told me, "And there's plenty of seats around the area for good pictures, including a deadman's hanging tree. ... This is all going on along side the Quest Fur Cover grid wide hunt Furry Fashion organizes .... So a very busy month especially since we're in the Twisted Hunt too."

"Ae plan to have security working shifts here in costume for the first few days," Amethyst explained, then mentioned there would soon be special costumes for the staff. Showing me hers, it certainly left a lot around her mid-section exposed. When we got to a certain hall area, Fortunas would show me his ghost T-Res avatar, then a "Clownasuarus Rez" look, a T-Rex dressed up in clown make-up.

Of the graveyard area, "we even have staff graves," Amethyst told me. They plan to have their big Halloween party there as well.

As for the Halloween hunt, after picking up a special HUD for the event, one searches for the small bats scattered across the Halloween areas. Clicking on them, there is a chance the player may end up "tricked" and transformed, "Patrons get to become part of the horror show. ... They're trick or treat bats for a reason. But there is a chance of getting a exclusive gift off them too, a limited ed that won't be sold or given away any other time. And if you do get 'tricked' by a trick or treat bat there is a un-deformer door in the main  vendor area."

Once again, the event runs the whole month to Halloween night. So come on over to Furry Fashion sim for some spook-tacular Halloween fun.

Furry Fashion Celebrates Eight Years

 Sunday May 3 was the eighth anniversary party of the Furry Fashion Mall and Lounge. Store owner Amethyst Crystal had an extra large prize for the contest that night, in addition to a raffle and trivia prizes. There was also a joke contest, in which the notecard with the best joke would win.

Wooo! It is Furry Fashions birthday party and we want you to come join us celebrate! We have everyone here and DJ Becky N rocking the house! Also - raffles ever 15 minutes! Trivia with prizes including giftcards and limited editions! A chance to win a free avatar from the den! 5,000L Prize on the board for your favorite or best outfit !

The board's prize was eventually jacked up to 18,000 Lindens, split between three lucky winners. First place of 9000 L went to Melanieelf (third picture), with Isunnyfox getting second and Moo Sauber getting third. The first prize of the humor contest went to Ikuto Moonshadow, with AislinP runner up.

*Addition* At first we misprinted it was the fourth anniversary party, but since learned it was actually the eighth! Congrats Furry Fashion.

 To provide a hunt that brings as many furry and furry friendly places across the grid together as  possible through one hunt. Each location will hide a hunt item within their store/area/community which will contain a prize from them and a landmark to the next area.

:..::How it will work::..
Once you are accepted into the QFC Line Up you will be added to the list. The list will go in order of when people have joined and this is the how the hunt from store to store will go.
The list of participating stores/communities will be kept updated via the organizers and every merchant will be sent the hunt item nearer the time. The hunt item must be hidden within their area with their prize and a landmark to the next merchant's place inside of it.

All items given away must by your own design , using mesh/sculpt from a creator kit is fine as long as you incorporate it into your own thing.

Items must be of the highest quality you can do. This maybe a free hunt for customers but that should not mean the standard should be lacking. This hunt is to encourage communities to work better together and promotion for all. If Patrons like your items they may well be back!

Please try to keep things unisex or provide for both genders. Also keep in mind Furs love to mod! so making your items mod/copy will prove popular with the hunters (this is optional for all merchants though)

When you hide the hunt item make sure it is accessible by all hunters (Eg not covered by a sculpt or mesh with invisible blockage that will prevent the item to be clicked on

Hunt items must be set to 0L
