The Amazon River- Eight Regions, One River!
Britty Bee's travels in Second Life took her to a particularly adventuresome place: The Amazon. With eight sims of jungle, there is no shortage of sights to see from villages to ruins to tall mountains. Not only that, the place is home to an active roleplaying community made up of tribes and hardy loners. With the roleplay HUDs, danger is quite literally around every corner as someone or something may be out to get the next unwary traveler.

The SL Newser Beach Party
Last Saturday, the Newser crew took a little time to relax from their busy schedules. And what better place to relax than the beach, except maybe a beach club. A number of the staff, both newcomers and veteran reporters, as well as readers and neighbors of the Newser office building. A few pictures were taken of the party as a reminder of the fun they had.
See the pictures in Events.

The Grand Canyon
Britty Bee is back with a new story about her travels across Second Life. Here, she writes about her trip to the Grand Canyon. One could just relax and admire the view. But there's much more to do here such as camping, ballooning, horseback riding, and a few things not available yet at the real life canyon. A great place for an adventure. Just be a little careful where you yodel.Read Britty's article in Places.

The Catacombs of Paris
Arrete! Cestici Lempire De La Mort. (Stop! Here lies the Empire of Death.) These are the words that greet you at the entrance of The Catacombs of the Paris 1900 sim. More noted for it's Eiffel Tower and depiction of Paris at tne dawn of the 20th Century, the sim also boasts having this more macabre attraction based on it's real life counterpart. Recently hired Britty Bee went down and braved the spooky passages, describing the erie sights and sounds, "frightening scenes that would terrify even the most seasoned explorer."

Reader Submitted: Frisland at Laluna Island
Across the ocean sits the beautiful Laluna Island, containing the small town of Frisland. Frisland is a phantom island in the North Atlantic. Upon arriving on the island, you are greeted by towering hillsides and gorgeous fields full of wildflowers. There are few residents in Frisland, and the town contains a few farmhouses, cabins, barns, and a church.
With summer quickly approaching, Frisland is a beautiful place to relax and take in nature. Complete with serene fields, farm animals, and inspiring ocean views, Frisland caters to everyone. This is a moderate sim and even includes play areas for the little ones.
Take a hike, ride one of the bicycles provided, or take a picnic with your special someone this summer. Frisland offers a tranquil place to appreciate nature and meditate. Take a stroll along the stream, admire the roaring waterfalls, walk through the gardens, or hike to the top of the hills and take in the ocean scenery.
Be sure to visit soon. It’s rumored that Frisland will be closing soon!
