"Effinjay" At The Rose Theater

On Sunday, there was a live music performance at the Rose Theater in the Angel Manor sim. Frogg Marlowe and Jaycatt Nico, also known as "Effinjay" sang there for an hour from 1 to 2 PM

Effinjay News: Good afternoon everyone, we've got a 1pm show today at the Rose Theater!

Yours truly got there in time to hear a few songs, Jaycatt on the piano and Frogg with his guitar, and managed to get a few pictures. But for some reason Frogg wouldn't show up so much as a nametag until after the event ended.

Jaycatt and Frogg have been performing in Second Life for over 18 years, and continue to appear at various venues across the grid.

SL Video: "Live Music At The Rose Theatre"

(Click here if the video does not play)

From The Rose Theater in July 2017, "The Rose Theatre in Second Life first opened in 2007. And has continued to support live music artists over the years. This video looks back at some of the performances that were recorded during a live performance. This shows only a handful of singers as The Rose has played host to a vast number of different artists over the years. Enjoy a trip down memory lane as we take a look at some of the highlights over the years."

Fractal Insanity and Rose Theater

Having gotten an update to her Art Gallery HUD, Gemma Cleanslate is back from visiting two of the locations she found on there. Fractal Insanity, as it's name implies, has a show of fractal art. It's displays are by Millie Sharple. The other is the Rose Theater Gallery, a large gallery with many artist's works on show.

Interview with Kylie Sabra

Late last month, Second Life Newser awarded Kylie Sabra, the manager of the Rose Theater, as runner-up for "Man of the Year" of Second Life for 2014 for her work with the United Content Creators of Second Life, and the Content Creator controversy. Later on, we contacted this newsmaker of last year and arranged for an interview. Kylie talked some about the UCCSL and the situation it confronted. But she also had much to say about what she was doing before the controversy, and after she had left it behind.
