Over 140,000L Raised at Veterans Isle Benefit Concert

On Wednesday November 9, Veterans Isle held it's monthly benefit concert. The event was to raise funds for Homes For Our Troops. The event went from 4PM to 9PM SL time, and was organized in part by guitarist Frets Nirvana.

The schedule went as follows:

4pm:Zack221 Friller (DJ)
5pm: Acoustic Energy (Live Musican)
6pm: The Vinnie Show (Live Musican)
7pm: Charice (Live Musican)
8pm: Franklee Anatra (Live Musican)

As the event went on, the audience donated money to two house-shaped kiosks on either side of the stage. They were occasional challenges by Frets and others to donate a certain amount more, then it would be matched.

By the end of the event, a total of 146,500 Linden dollars had been raised, close to $600 US dollars.

It should be noted this is the first Veterans Isle event in many years that wasn't scheduled to start off with Waya Snowpaw, who passed away in late September.
