EOTB: Saffia Widdershins "In The Spotlight"

A few days ago on the Linden blog, someone familiar to SL media found herself "In The Spotlight" - Safia Widdershins.

This week we are shining a spotlight on Saffia Widdershins, a powerhouse woman that has years of promotional work under her belt, including an incredible job of hosting many award shows, pageants, talk shows, and more!

Besides her first venture, Prim Perfect, Saffia branched out into the "Designing Worlds" show. She's also gotten into storytelling, notably "The Blackened Mirror." And has been involved in yearly events such as "One Billion Rising," and the Relay's Home and Garden Expo and the Fantasy Faire.

"Ask Ebbe Linden" and Merchants Wanted by Linden Lab for SL15B

There's a couple things going on with Linden Lab that Second Life residents may find of interest, notably if they want to hear the CEO speak or are interested in shopping events.

The youtube program "Designing Worlds" turns ten this year. As part of their celebration, they recently announced they'll be interviewing Ebbe Linden, the avatar of the CEO of Linden Labs Ebbe Altberg. The show is scheduled to be shown on Monday May 28. On the day of the announcement, the Prim Perfect website was taking questions to ask. But the time limit was Midnight that night.

For those whom like to shop, Linden Lab announced they would be organizing a shopping event to go alongside the SL15B celebrations. They also were asking for merchants to take part.

We’re actively seeking Merchants who are willing to participate in an inworld Official SL15B Shopping event! Our inworld shopping events have been very successful and we hope to continue that tradition with a big SL15B. We are looking for quality Merchants across all categories to be a part of this exclusive event. If you think that this is something you’d like our brand to participate in, read on! Space is limited!

Merchants interested in taking part in the event were asked to fill out a submission form in this link no later than June 5.  The event is scheduled to go from June 18 to July 2.

Prim Perfect Relauch Party

Congratulation to Prim Perfect, the magazine of prim addicts as they call themselves. September 18 was the relaunch of the magazine and it was celebrated with a party held in the Castle at the Home Expo 5, sponsored by Prim Perfect. This is an event in support of the Relay for Life.

Elrik Merlin, Editor and Camera, supplied the music for the event. Saffia Widdershins, Publisher and Editor, greeted everyone as she danced. Many stopped over to congratulate the staff on the relaunch. There was also an announcement that the  magazine has migrated to its own website,   www.primperfect.net. There is an intro to the relaunch issue with the promise, “There’s a whole new look, and new features (as well as some old favorites).  You’ll get even more gorgeous eye candy from our photographers – and great articles from our writers!” After looking at Issue 52  I have to agree. The older issues can also  be found on the website.
Prim Perfect is only one of their many ventures which include Prim Perfect and The Primgraph Magazines, Designing Worlds. Happy Hunting! and The Blackened Mirror television shows (all on treet.tv, slartist.com and aview.tv) and The Quest for the Golden Prim web comic.  Subscribers to the blog will be migrated over to the new site so you will not miss any news.

Prim Perfect Publications and its staff is to be lauded for its involvement in events of Second Life in the past years, present and in the future. The SL Newser congratulates and wishes them well.

Scenes From The Relay For Life Christmas Expo

Today marks the final day of the Relay For Life's Christmas Expo this year. For ten days, the event in which over seventy merchants put up items to sell for charity, and numerous DJs provided music for events have taken place. So it's the last chance to drop by to enjoy the scenery and events, such as the announcing of the Avi Choice Awards today at 3PM. To see what awaits you there, the Newser has taken a number of screenshots of the Expo grounds.

See the pictures in Events.
