Sunny Beach and The Gathering Oak

After a short break, Penny (Deaflegacy Resident) is back doing articles. For her most recent story, she was invited to the Sunny Beach sim in the Sunweaver Estates. The place is run by Erik Mouse with a little help from Becky "Sha" Shamen. So what goes on here? Penny was able to find out some details.

Announcement: RFL Club Crawl Tomorrow

We are thrilled to announce our 3rd Annual Club Crawl Competition sponsored by Harmony of Hope. We have great clubs involved in this Relay For Life competition.  Clubs will have RFL events at the times listed below.  Events are held Friday, May 31 6 pm - Sunday, June 2 6 pm. At 6 pm, Sunday, the club with the highest amount of donations to The American Cancer Society showing in their kiosk will be announced the 2019 Club Crawl Champ.  The winning Club will receive a trophy for display at their club as well as social media announcement.  Please Join us and support these clubs as they volunteer their staff and time to support Relay!

Advertisement: DJs Needed for Furry Club Alliance

Are you a beginning DJ looking for a place to start your Second Life career? Or perhaps you're a longtime master of spinning the tunes who's looking for a new place to rock? If so, the Furry Club Alliance can get you a gig. We are four clubs, the airship Club Cutlass, the beach club Happy Vixen, the classic rock club Xanadu, and the open field club and hangout The Gathering Oak. Two of our venues, Xanadu and The Gathering Oak, are looking to expand our schedules. But we could use hosts and hostesses, and we especially need DJs. Even if our schedules are full, we can always use backup DJs in case the unexpected happens.

Furry Club Alliance Meeting

On Sunday March 5, the Furry Club Alliance held a meeting in a small office just outside Club Xanadu in HV Community. There were a few concerns discussed, such as the reopening of the classic rock club,

Perri Prinz is the current head of the group created to discuss and offer possible solutions to clubs in the group. Currently, the clubs and hangouts in the group are Club Cutlass, The Happy Vixen Beach Club, The Gathering Oak, and Club Xanadu which officially rejoined that day after reopening.

Becky Shamen reports on something new in the Sunny Beach sim. Several weeks ago, the "watering hole" or "gathering place" had a beach club built over it. But recently the owner, Erik Mouse, began wondering if something different was needed. So Becky decided to help out by getting and planting an oak at the spot. Here, she writes about "The Gathering Oak" and what it could be.
