Pictures From Easter Town
Easter is over. But there are still some places up where one can have a little Easter fun for a little while. Among these is Easter Town, which appears in Laura Liberty's Townies sim every year. Gemma Cleanslate was there, and took some pictures as she hopped down the bunny trail.

Happy Easter
It's Easter Sunday, which means a number of things in Second Life. For some, it's strictly chocolate and bunnies. One of the best known examples of this is Easter Town in the Townies sim, which Gemma wrote about last year.
And then, there's the more spiritual side of Easter. There are many churches, and prayer groups, in Second Life. Among them is The Vine Christian Mission at Miliaco (160/95/75), and the Egyptian church at the Coptic Egypt sim.
However you celebrate, Happy Easter.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day
It's Saint Patrick's Day, the day that celebrates everything Irish. And there are a few Irish-themed places in Second Life.
One such place is Castle Blarney. It's where the Blarney Stone is located. Just head to the top, lay on the floor where the stone is, and kiss it. Will you receive the gift of gab (or be "full of Blarney")? Who knows.
Castle Blarney is in the Wilde sim at (150, 110, 33).
Another appropriate location is the Castle Blarney Pub in the Dublin sim. This location has been in Second Life for years, and always draws a crowd this time of year. So be prepared for lag. "Come visit the lively, always-exciting Blarney Stone Irish Bar in Second Life. Social events and live DJ music occur daily. Live music concerts are also held three times a week."
Dublin (82/82/25).
A favorite among shoppers this time of year is St. Patrick's Town. It's in Laura Liberty's Townies sim. There are shops you can get green outfits, as well as props such as rainbows and pots of gold. There's also a rainibow slide you can zip down, into a pile of gold coins. There's also a beer dunking booth, and a gold mine where you can find gold bars with gifts inside.Townies (127/27/25)
In the Celtic Mist sim is Finian's Dream. The Destination Guide describes it, "A mystical and beautiful land, based on old Celtic Ireland. Come discover the secrets of the forest as you explore the misty woods, stop by the tavern, see the countryside, and visit a castle. The region was designed by Noralie78. "

Valentine Town
Valentines Day is this week. And for those who want to get a themed outfit for the holiday or a small present for your special someone, one place to go to is Valentine Town. Gemma Cleanslate dropped by this season's build of the Townies sim. Besides the things to get, there's plenty to do such as the Tunnel of Love and singles board. And be on the lookout for Cupid.

Christmas Town
Gemma Cleanslate's latest stop in her exploration of Christmas places took her to an old favorite: Christmas Town in the Townies sim. Build by Laura Liberty, the location has entertained people for ten years. Looking around, Gemma found some things that were much the same. But there was much that was new, notably a tribute to Christmas movies.

Halloween Town And Moochies
Gemma Cleanslate has been on the lookout for more Halloween themed places, and places now sporting a spooky look for the season. In her article for today, her travels took her to two such places. The first was an old favorite: Halloween Town in the Townies sim. It has shops with many items for the holiday up for sale, a pumpkin-carving contest, and a haunted house with lots of scenes. Next was Moochies, which is celebrating with it's wooded area offering shadowy areas for travellers to brave when the sun goes down, and has a contest of it's own.

Easter Town
Easter is almost here. For some, the holiday is primarily a religious one. But both the devout and the secular have a love of chocolate, bunnies, bonnets, and other examples of fun also associated with the day. And at Laura Liberty's Easter Town, you'll find plenty of fun things to do. Besides the shopping, including gachas, there's also a balloon ride, a peeps race, an egg decorating contest with a prize, interactive builds, and of course lots of hidden Easter eggs to find.

Cartoon of the Day: Happy St. Patrick's Day
Taken at St. Patrick's Town. Part of St. Patrick's Day is the beer. Some love it. Some don't care too much for it as it's not the best tasting beverage and too much will leave you looking silly. But even if you don't mind looking funny, please stay away from the drivers seat if you've had a few.

St. Patrick's Town
This upcoming Sunday, it'll be "th' day o th' wearin' o' th' green" : St. Patricks Day. For those who can't wait to have a little fun on the day everyone is a little bit Irish, or you want to grab a few outfits and other things to get ready for when it is, one place to go is St. Patrick's Town. Set in Laura Liberty's Townies sim, Gemma Cleanslate recently gave the place a look. While some of the sim is for shopping areas to buy things, there's fun to be had for free from Celtic music to dancing, beer-themed dunking booths, and a gold mine mining cart game.

Valentine Town and Isle of View
Valentines Day is this week. Among the places to go in the theme of the holiday about love and romance, two of the best known are Valentine Town and the Isle of View. Valentine Town appears only at this time of year in the Townies sim, owned and designed by Laura Liberty. The Isle of View was designed and made by Linden Lab's moles, and run by Linden Lab. Gemma Cleanslate and Deaflegacy gave the places a visit, and here's what they wrote about them.

Christmas Town
Gemma has found many Christmas-themed places this month. For her last one before the big day tomorrow, she writes about Laura Liberty's "Christmas Town." Located in the Townies sim, the location was a little later than usual in being set up. But it has a number of attractions that will satisfy both longtime fans and those seeing it for the first time. This includes making your own Christmas card.

Easter Town
Easter is almost here. And that means Easter Town is back. Built by Laura Liberty, the location appears in Second Life every year. One can shop at the various stores, but you don't need money to enjoy th place with it's brightly colored themed scenery, freebies, a peep race, and of course Easter eggs and bunnies. Gemma Cleanslate was there, and here's her story.

Valentine Town
Valentines Day is almost here. And a place in Second Life that appears every year to help residents get in the mood for it is Valentine Town. Brought to Second Life by Laura Liberty, this year's town has a whole new look, one that required a little help. Bixyl Shuftan went to the place at Townies to both get a look at what's new, and with some of the people there, including one cheerful and unusual character.

Halloween Places: Part One
It's October, and time to give some Halloween-themed places in Second Life a visit. Gemma Cleanslate came across Carolyn Avro's "List of Haunted Places," and decided to check a few of them out. She visited Aldergrove, Mieville Shelley-Magnum, Palenia, Echoes, and a few places not on it, Sheado, Gotham Island, and Halloween Town.

Easter Town
Easter is almost here. And that means Easter Town is back. For every major holiday, Laura Liberty's Townies sim has a new look. And at this time of year, the sim becomes a tribute to the Easter Bunny and chocolate eggs. There you can ride a balloon, play several games and/or buy a few, take part in an egg-decorating contest, and more.

St. Patrick's Town
With Valentines Day and Mardi Gras over, it's time for another holiday: St. Patrick's Day. And so, the Townies sim owned by Laura Liberty has once again changed it's look. It is now the home of "St. Patrick's Town.
The shops are the main thing here. But there's free hats one can pick up, a rainbow slide ride, coins one can fly around on, danSt. Patricks, Celtic, and beer-themed music over the radio, and lots and lots of beer. There's even a dunking booth in which the dunkee ends up not in water, but swimming in beer.

Townies Presents Valentine and Mardi Gras Towns
Townies is back. The sim that takes on a new look every major holiday is now ready for February. But this time the sim is the home of two towns, not just one. Step into Valentine Town, with it's rivers of chocolate and plenty of shops with something special for your special someone. Next head over to Mardi Gras Town, where it's New Orleans partying up for "Fat Tuesday." Gemma Cleanslate took a look at the sim to see both places.See Gemma's article in Places.

Weekend in Review
It's been quite a weekend in Second Life. As this was Easter weekend, there were a number of Easter-themed events from egg hunts to dances from the Relay of Life to Roma, to Luskwood and Trotsdale, the Townies sim, and others. This was also the last weekend of the sci-fi convention, and there was the monthly benefit at Veterans Isle.
More on some of these events later.
