But this wasn't just any writer.  This was the editor and main writer of the SL Newser, yours truly, about the recently published exciting new science-fiction tale: "The Corsean Encounter." Announcement: Dusk Griswold's Retirement Party

 

Dusk "Ginger" Griswold invites you to come to her retirement party from her real life job with the United States Postal Service. Party is Dec 4th from 3pm to 5pm at Club Cutlass onboard the Airship Cutlass VI . Come dressed casual, there is no contest. The music will be of the 60's and 70's mostly. DJ Snowy AngelBun will play tunes first hour with DJ Cynthia Farshore the second hour.

Announcement: Where is Springstar Drinkwater?

Angel Scarborough is worried about Springstar Drinkwater as she has not been able to reach him inside or outside of Second Life in almost two years.  

Springstar is part of Angel and Akea's Second Life family.   As most of you know, Akea passed in October 2018 and Angel is becoming concerned that something has happened to Springstar also.  She would greatly appreciate it if anyone who is in contact with him could let her know his status.

Pony Town Sim Closed For Remodeling

Besides being a noted member of the Sunweaver community, Dusk Griswold (Ginger) is also one of the staff of the Pony Town sim. She stated the sim has been "temporarily closed for a move and remodel" for a month, and isn't sure when it will be open, "I haven't gotten a definite answer. ... There was no notice sent out, just a public announcement in sim on Halloween." The sim closed a few days later.

Dusk stated the sim has been around since 2010 or 2011, "one of the longest running MLP sims." Of how the remodeling is going, "I have been to it to see the progress, it is coming along nicely. ... Some features the old sim lacked will be added. I can't go itno detail, though."

On the map, Pony Town is close to Saddlewood, another pony sim.

Brandi Streusel Back Online, "Two Vixens And A Wolf" At Cutlass, Other Sunweaver News

Early this month, it was announced that Brandi Streusel had taken an indefinite break from Second Life. The Newser is happy to report that the little mousegirl of the Sunweaver/Angel community is back, and doing some music DJing, " I've missed both so much." She is currently playing at Python's Dance Club on Wednesdays.

Also, the "Two Vixens and a Wolf" radio show, which the Newser reported on recently, is getting a new location to listen in from inworld besides their studio in Rabbit Valley: the Sunweaver's main club and hangout of Club Cutlass. Svetlana Snowpaw (Sarah Golem) made the following announcement on Tuesday July 17.

Hello I just wanted to let everyone know about our fairly new Radio show "2 Vixens and a Wolf" we are going live at 5PM SL Time (27 Minutes) you can listen in at allfurradio.com for our 3 hour furry talk show which we do EVERY MONDAY (Today is exception due to technical difficulties) from 5PM-8PM SL TIME

Unfortunately, not all the news from the Sunweaver community has been good. On Monday or Tuesday this week, community leader Rita Mariner was taken to the hospital due to an infection. She was released Wednesday. Also Dusk Griswold's real-life spouse has been in the hospital for several days. Her condition was initially serious, but she has been recovering and will hopefully be home again soon.

Tail Sale At Club Zero Gravity Ends Today

The tail sale (aka date auction) at Club Zero Gravity ends tonight. At a special party at the club at 6PM, over the next two hours, the bids will be declared final on each of the ladies one by one. The five ladies are, Brandi Streusel, Dusk Griswold, Megami Yuzuki, Skylark Lefavre (Snowy Sugar Blossom), and Nydia Tungsten. Already, the bids are in the thousands of Lindens. So come make your bids.

Tail sale ends tomorrow night at a special event at Zero Gravity.
We will be using dice again this year to en the sale for each model in the sale.
the event will be at 6 pm SLT to 8 PM SLT

"Tail Sale" at Club Zero Gravity

There's a "Tail Sale" going on at Club Zero Gravity. For those of you not familar with them, it's the name usually given to date auctions (or bachelor/bachelorette auctions) in furry areas. This time, five women are putting themselves on the line offering a date, and sometimes the option of something else such as building something. They are Brandi Streusel, Dusk Griswold, Megami Yuzuki, Skylark Lefavre (Snowy Sugar Blossom), and Nydia Tungsten.

The bids have already started. Those interested have until October 15 to place their bids.

Happy Birthday Dusk

Sunday October 1at 4PM was the birthday party for Dusk Griswold, The noted personality of the Sunweaver community was another year older, and her friends gathered at the Goblin Cave in Sunlight Bay. Cynthia Farshore, who owns the sim and "Farshore Radio" played the tunes for the party. Among those there were Sunweaver Chieftess Rita Mariner, Sabine McGettigan, whom has kept in touch with the Sunweaver community since the days of the Passionate Redheads Relay for Life team, and Shockwave Yareach. With Shockwave around, Cynthia played a few of his music parodies, such as "Somebody's Washing Me" and "Here In My Tank."

Dusk, or Ginger as she's sometimes called, was there of course in her blue gown. She calls herself "boring," but we at the Sunnies just chuckle at her self-debasement and offer her a hug.
