 When: Sat, May 6, 9am – 5pm

DescriptionHear Ye Hear Ye, All are invited to attend the Sunbeamers Medieval Fun Faire this May 6th, 2023 from the hours of 9am until 5pm. 

Come and enjoy the music and dance from the World Famous DJ Kayla and The Roos performing on stage from 3pm till 5pm. 

After a donation to the American Cancer Society you may compete in Axe throw and Archery competitions for the prizes that shall be awarded unto ye who has the highest score in each by fairs end. You may try as many times as you like. 

The Joust shall take place at 2pm until 3pm with a L$500 prize. Sign-up donation for the joust shall open at 8am at the kiosk located next to the joust track. 

For extra entertainment there is a whole region of things to find and do including a horse jump track, kissing booths, food, rope slides, fishing, boating, and in the center of a lagoon the Goblin Cave Community Center with 24 hour music and dance floor along with plenty of seating just to sit and relax.

"Joust A Linden" At The Ren Fest

Thursday September 29 was the day of "Joust a Linden or Mole" at the Renaissance Festival. For a 1000 Linden dollar donation, residents could spar with one of the several Lindens and Moles at the event.

Several Lindens and Moles took part in the event. There was Allota and Dreaming Mole, and there was Constantine, Derrick, and Patch Linden. Constantine's mount was an ostrich. Patch's horse had on bright purple colors. 

In the matches, the residents did pretty good, such as Nikki Lacrima's victory over Patch Linden. Unfortunately near the end, my viewer crashed, and lost track of who else jousted who.

There would be other events that day. This included an archery tournament in which the top four were

The Ren-Fest raises money for the American Cancer Society.

Announcement: Third Annual Second Life Renaissance Festival, "The Silk Road"

 

Supporting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, the Third Annual SL Renaissance Festival is coming. This year's theme is "The Silk Road." There will be numerous stalls to shop around at, plenty of sights to see, numerous music and dance parties to attend, competitions, including the chance to joust a Linden or Mole, and more. 

The Festival takes place from Friday Sept 23 to Sunday Oct 2.

At The Renaissance Festival (Joust a Linden Today)

 

The Second Life Renaissance Festival has been going on all week. In a four sim area next to American Cancer Society, various events have been taking place such as jousting (above), melee combat, and roleplay. But there's also been plenty of music events people can just drop in and dance. 

Besides the DJ events, there are also live performers. There was one late last night at 9PM by Dee Freund (Dilah Halostar), the "Grand Finale" that night. 

The Festival runs to Sunday October 3. Events in the final few days include jousting with a Linden or Mole today, Thurs Sept 30 from 12 to 3 PM. 

On Friday October 1, if you want to get back at the Lindens for something such as the lag or teleport crashes, you'll have your chance as several Lindens and Moles will be at the pillory. The pelting with rotten tomatoes and other less than fresh produce lasts from 1 to 3 PM. 

Saturday October 2 is also the day of the drawing of a raffle, the chance to create a new last name for residents to use (and the option to change your surname). The drawing will be 8:45PM SL time. Tickets cost 100L each, or 3 for 200L.

And for those looking for a game, there is the Queen's Quest. Somehow, someone stole her library, and there will be a reward for whom can get it back.

RFL Announcement: Medieval Fun Faire At Caledon Downs This Weekend

Sunbeamer's and Roos with A Dream invite you to the Sunbeamer's RFL Medieval Fun Faire 2021

May 22 and 23, 2021 10am till 4pm

DJ Kayle and the Roos will be performing on Saturday May 22 only, time will be 11am to 1pm

For any donations to the American Cancer Society kiosk there will be Horse Jumping race, Archery Contest and Axe Throwing Contest open the entire faire the winner determined at the close of the fair on the 23rd. Winners of each contest shall receive prizes.

Jousting takes place at 2pm both days. Signing up takes place from 10am till 1:30pm which at that point you place a donation and names are place in the bracket. You need nothing the system rezzes a horse and lance for you to use. Prizes awarded to the winner on each day.

Jousting And Archery At The Renaissance Fair

Quite a lot has been happening at the Renaissance Fair, with plenty of items to buy with the cash going to charity to music events. But with the theme, there were also combat events. There's been a number of jousting matches, including one I observed on Monday September 28. Lances hit home, and riders ended up knocked off their horses.

That particular joust was won by Michael von Shady (MickeyJoe1 Resident). Second was Alsedel Llewellyn. Third was Skysong (sgudeman Resident). Fourth was Kali (KALIvRAHU Resident)

MickeyJoe1 Resident WINS THE TOURNAMENT! with Alsedel Llewellyn placing a very honorable SECOND! sgudeman Resident has taken THIRD! with KALIvRAHU Resident coming in at a respectable FOURTH!

Later that afternoon was an archery tournament. This wasn't just shooting at a still target. When hit, the target would vanish and pop up somewhere else on the back wall.

First place went to Skyler Amira Constatine (SkylerAmira Resident). Second was Bo (cbrochey Resident). Third place went to Ty (Tyger) Eros Amara (torymchenry Resident). Forth was Ariell Fallen (AriellFallen Resident).

Press Release: The Lindens Are Coming! To The 2020 SL Renaissance Festival

The Lindens are Coming to the 2020 SL Renaissance Festival! They bring fabulous booty from foreign shores and are challenging the Champions of the Medieval Realms to a Tournament!

The SL Renaissance Festival unites Medieval Role Play Communities to Crusade Against Breast Cancer. The 10 Day event in support of the American Cancer Society Strides Campaigns in Second Life kicks off September 25th and will feature Merchants, Gatchas, Auctions and Entertainment. Spreading over 6 beautiful autumn regions the, Festival fills the countryside with Castles and Shoppes and Fields of Honor.

Spies of the Realm have learned that the Lindens will be taking part in the Festival and will be bringing some very special treasures of immense Value.   Some of the Lindens have been sentenced to be Pilloried for their misbehavior during their journey to the Festival.  They will serve their sentences on Friday October 2 from 1 to 3 pm.

They challenge all comers and promise this will be the most unique tournament in the annals of Second Life

Lastly it has been learned that the Lindens are bringing a very special treasure, The One Of A Kind American Cancer Society SWORD OF HOPE and the LINDEN SHEILD, to be auctioned to the Highest Bidder on Sunday October 4th at 10am. The swordsmiths and armorers of Linden Lab have created these unique One Of A Kind arms from the most precious of metallic textures available in the virtual worlds.

With so much to do and see the SL Renaissance Festival is sure to be the biggest virtual event of Autumn, Join us, September 25 through October 4th and help the American Cancer Society vanquish Breast Cancer.

Kelpies, shop at selected merchants, win unique raffle prizes, find trivia treasure hunt objects to create a special mer crown, plus new product releases, and an art exhibit of mer life in SL.

Grey Lupindo is back from her latest exploration on the Grid. She had recently paid a visit to a historical sim, Renaissance Island. There, one can see things as they were in 1500s England, with the buildings and clothes. The place also has a number of fun events that locals and visitors alike can take part in.
