Blau Rascon and The Second Life Avatar Index

Some readers may remember the Second Life Avatar Review Files or SLARF (slarf.org). This website provided a number of reviews for various furry, and a few feral, avatars. Unfortunately, a few years ago, the website stopped updating, and then went offline. Among the writers for it was Blau Rascon, whom had left after joining up with the Kenzart Kreetures avatar company. Last September, he started a similar website: the Second Life Avatar Index. Cyfir recently had a chance to talk to him about the Avatar Index, and what he's been doing at KZK.

KZK Avatars Celebrates Twelve Years

Yesterday, Wednesday August 15, was the twelfth anniversary of a popular brand of furry avatar: Kinzart Productions, often called Kinzart Kreetures or KZK. The event went from 3-5PM SL time, and attracted a large crowd, with 64 people in the sim at one point.

Becky Nosferatu of Montecito Bay was the DJ for the packed event, despite a few technical difficulties, she persisted and the crowd was patient for her. At the end of the two hours, she spoke to the crowd, saying she'd been in Second Life for years and had enjoyed every avatar she'd gotten from the "talented artists," her current avatar being a modified KZK, "It's been an honor ot be your DJ tonight  ...get it through ... all your happy customers. I hope to see you again soon, fantastic party indeed. Rock on guys!"

Avatar Review: Orange Nova Sergals

With so many fox, wolf, feline, and other avatars out there by furry avatar makers, eventually companies come up with something different. One design is the "Sergal," which is half wolf and half dragon. Developed originally by KzK, later on Orange Nova came up with their own. Theonlyjohnny decided to compare the two to see which was best.

Kinzart Kreetures and Their Upcoming Gryphon

Although once known by his fox avatar, for some time Grease Coakes has been seen most often in a Gryphon avatar. So when a furry avatar company had plans to make one of their own, Grease took interest and had a talk to the builders. So what goes on with building an avatar in Second Life? Quite a bit.
