Veterans Isle Fundraiser Raises Over 210,000 Lindens

On April 30, Veterans Isle held it's monthly fundraiser for the Homes Four Our Troops charity. The event lasted a little over five hours from 4PM SL time to just after 9PM (Midnight EST). The first performer was DJ Waya Snowpaw from 4-5PM. Second was Toxie Darkmatter from 5-6PM. From 6 to 7PM, Savannah Coronet took to the stage. Frets Nirvana, who helped organize the event, took to the stage from 7 to 8PM. And last but not least was Vinnie (Acoustic Rhapsody), whom billed himself as "The Vinnie Show."

While singing on stage, the curtain behind Vinnie was lit up,  switching from patriotic images of the US flag to carpenters erecting walls for new homes. In the middle of his performance, the fundraising amount passed 200,000 Linden dollars, placed in house-shaped kiosks on both sides of the stage. When the event was over, the total amount was 210,300 Linden dollars, over $800 US dollars.

"Thank you everyone for supporting Homes for our Troops and our wounded vets!" "Thank you all for everything and all your warm donations to a really needed HFOTs event."

Homes For Our Troops is a charity which helps build homes for disabled veterans. For more information, check https://www.hfotusa.org.
