Reminder: The Second Life Birthday Starts Friday

 

Just a reminder. The Second Life Birthday, aka the SL21B, will be starting in a few days.  On Friday June 21, the sim will open up to the public. Presumably there will be an opening ceremony soon after. The times of both have yet to be announced. 

Later will be the "Meet the Lindens" events, this year known as the Town Hall and Community Roundtable.

Busy Time

It's been a busy week for us at the Newser, with most of us having to deal with technical difficulties or other complications in real life. For yours truly, I've been exploring another virtual world: VR Chat. I'll have an article ready soon. For now, here's a picture of the avatar I had once I was inworld a few minutes.

Coming Soon: Pokemon Sim in Second Life

With the "Pokemon Go" game all the rage, one might ask if there's a place in Second Life where one can play something similar. In the sim of Ravenlock there's a Pokemon game which has been going on for quite some time. The sim and game are run by a team headed by Mindy Runo. Mindy had to work this weekend, so the article will have to wait. For now if you want to try out the game, bead to Ravenlock (128, 127, 144).
