Grease Coakes Latest Book: College in Cleveland

Grease Coakes wrote for the Second Life Newser for a time, then took a leave of absence. Since then, he has changed his focus from writing news to writing fiction. Recently Grey Lupindo had the chance to interview him. Grease talked about his new story "College in Cleavland," his sequel to "Ginny Griffin Goes to School," and the challenges in promoting it.

Earlier this year, Grease Coakes (John Krauss in real life) broke into the published fiction market with his children's story "Ginny Griffin Goes to School." Grease Coakes, DJ, fiction writer, published author in real life, and of course SL Newser reporter had his sixth rezzday this week. During the course of the day, fellow reporter DrFran Babcock came by and gave him an interview. Grease talked about his early days in Second Life, his first gigs as a DJ, a little about his avatars over time, and will he or won't he perform at the SL10B.

SL Newser Reporter Breaks into Published Fiction with "Ginny"

Grey Lupindo didn't have to go too far for her latest interview. Grease Coakes, noted Second Life Newser reporter, has broken into book publishing with his children's story "Ginny Griffin Goes to School." Grease has been writing in one form or another for much of his life, and came up with the idea for "Ginny" a few years ago. Getting the story to print, however, was a challenge.
