Gallery Graine's Closing Party

How does one say goodbye to a small art gallery that's been around for several years? Last Sunday, August 5, the Gallery Graine had it;s final event. This was a farewell party by owner Graine MacBain whom was having to close it and the Blue Curacao sim due to events in real life and inworld. The Newser dropped by for one last look at the place and if the owner had any final words.

Reader Submitted: On Gallery Graine Closing

It was on Sunday, July 21, that Graine Macbain announced that she would be closing her Blue Curacao sim, and with it her Riverside Café and Galleries. The Newser contacted her and invited her to say a few things about the closing. She responded by sending us a few pictures of an event that took place that day in Scottius Polke's mushROOM high above the sim, and a statement explaining how her places came to be, and why her sim could no longer stay up.

Interview With Anibrm Jung

This week, the Newser interviewed photographer Anibrm Jung. Noted for her real-life still photography of nature scenes, Anibrm has had her work on display in a few places in Second Life. We met up with her at the Little Red Door Chapel and Retreat, and had a few words with her about her art and experiences in Second Life.
