Fundraiser Concert at Veterans Isle Nets Over 250,000 Lindens
On Sunday, September 29, the monthly benefit concert for the Homes For Our Troops charity at Veterans Isle took place. From 4PM to 9PM SL time, several musicians performed for the crowd.
We are kicking off our fall schedule of benefits for Homes For Our Troops tonight … and it is going to be a great night! Here is our lineup:
Waya Snowpaw 4-5 PM
Austin Moores 5-6 PM
Cryptic Harmony 6-7 PM
Chillee Hernandoz 7-8 PM
Erika Ordinary 8-9 PM
Stopping by for a short time to catch Austin Moores, I heard hostess GJackie Winkler shouted, "We have so far 194,900 in the two little homes on each side of the stage!" This was a reference to the two house-shaped kiosks on either side of where the singers played for the audience.
At the end of the concert, a total of 258,870 Linden dollars had been raised for Homes For Our Troops. The events take place every month at Veterans Isle, usually on the last Sunday of every month. They are organized by musician Frets Nirvana.
Homes For Our Troops is an organization that helps disabled veterans by building and modifying homes for them. To learn more about them, check out https://www.hfotusa.org .
