Facebook is used by over a billion computer users around the world, including about half of the US population, and a number of Second Life users. But it's not for everyone, and for people who would rather name an account after their favorite MMO gaming character, or their Second Life avatar, or something similar, it's policy discouraging the use of online pseudonyms can be a problem. For this group of people whom want a way to chat online, post screenshots and comments, and do other things they can online without the hassle, there's the Avatar Social Network.
