After Dark

 
Newser reporter Netera Landar recently wrote about a venue that caught her eye: After Dark. Owned and managed by Meegan Dantz and located in the Idle Rogue sim, the venue had an aesthetic that caught her eye, particularly when viewed at Midnight. But there's more to the place than good looks.

Kaleidoscope – The Monarch Education Project

 
Netera Landar recently stopped by the Kaleidoscope sim to visit something interesting, especially to lovers of nature: The Monarch Education Project.  The place has much information about the Monarch butterfly, which unlike other butterflies migrates from north to south and back again every year, as well as being visually pleasing. One can pick up a freebie pet butterfly as well.

Drama Libre

 
In her latest story, reporter Netera Landar checked out the Drama Libre club. Having been around for almost 20 years and this September will have hosted it's 1000th party, what sets this venue apart is it has a different set for each one. Netera talked to Xerxes Sismondi, a co-founder of the club how it came to be, and some of what's happened over time.

FogBound Blues Club


Newser reporter Netera Landar recently visited the FogBound Blues Club. Located in Blue Moon Bay, the venue is over a decade and a half old, created by Yanik Lytton and Meredith Mistwalker, and has events every day.  Netera had a few words with it's manager Saphire Jinn about how the place has changed over time, and what and who has helped make it work.

At the Premier Business Center, Jarden Alexis has set up a Black History Museum to honor the history of Black Americans. There were a number of people over the course of American history mentioned. The Newser dropped by to have a look.

The Savoy

 
Most longtime Second Life residents have probably heard of Creations for Parkinsons, a beautiful area created years ago by Barbie Alchemi for her mother Fran Seranade. Reporter Netera Landar went there to check out the location, and had a few words with it's manager, Mathew Kosse. The place has evolved over the years, continuing to both entertain and impress.

Netera Landar was recently at a roleplay community depicting life in a small British town, Hopeby Village. Founded by Chard and Stevie Hope, a number of others have moved into this cozy area, taking on various roles, and it is still open for more. The Waterfall Café

 
The Newser has covered many winter places in recent weeks.  For those looking for something different, Newser reporter Netera Landar found a location very interesting and unique in all seasons: The Waterfall Cafe. From Katie Luckstone, with it's picturesque underwater caverns, huge aquariums with swimming fish, chairs made to resemble sea shells, and more, it's very much worth a visit.

This season marks the seventeenth year that the owners Ty Tenk and Truck Meredith have remade their area for the holiday season. And as Gemma found, once again they haven't failed to do a spectacular job, with a reindeer ride, ice skating, Disney characters, and lots of great scenery.

Gemma Cleanslate has continued to check out Halloween places as the month of October ticks on. Necropolis Umbrae is a darkly enticing cemetery with a riddle in it's library. She was able to solve it, but can you? Bewitched had many places to see, including a foreboding castle to explore, and a haunted railway to ride. And she stopped by Yosemite, which has decorated one place up for the spooky season.
