SLEA - The Quiet Between Worlds

The Second Life Endowment for the Arts (SLEA) gets a number of art exhibits and exhibitions. Recently Netera Landar stopped by a particularly exceptional one. Located in SLEA8 and created by a team led by Nemesis and Nyx Marville, it has several levels where one can enjoy the music, remember those you lost, or simply spend some time alone to let your mind relax.

Luminara: A Mystical, Self-Discovery, Silent Reflection Sanctuary

Neteral Landar starts of her writing about places in Second Life with Luminaria. Created by Sedona Starchild, the place is described as "a space created with care, where every detail holds a deeper meaning, if you’re open to it." Netera went to look around, and was not disappointed.

SL Video: "How to Set Up Mirrors"

From Zanibar Pixelbottom on June 19, who explains how to set up a mirror, and gives a few details such as why not every one you will see will show your avatar's reflection "Reflection probes are meant for general, 'good enough' reflections. If you absolutely need accurate reflections, (such as for a mirror), you'll need to use a mirror probe. In this video, I'll demonstrate how to make a mirror, and the differences between a static and dynamic mirror."

September 11 - We Remember

Fireman’s Prayer

When I am called to duty,
whenever the flames my rage,
give me strength to save some
life whatever be their age.
Help me embrace a little child
before it is too late,
or save an old person from
the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert,
and hear the weakest shout.
And quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling
and give the best in me.
To guard my every neighbor,
protect his property.
And if according to my fate
I am to lose my life,
please bless with your protecting hand
my children and my wife.
