Announcement: 2024 Walk The Loop[en] Invitation

Commemorative Walk in Tribute to Ertina Loopen

Hello friends of Ertina Loopen.

Please feel welcome to join us at 2 p.m. SLT on Sunday, August 4, 2024 to take a lovely walk through the scenic regions of Ville de Coeur in tribute to Ertina Loopen.

The quaint village of Ville de Coeur and its surrounding countryside is inspired by the real life French and Italian Riviera and was the location where Tina would take an annual anniversary walk with her partner, Journey Texan. Now, without Tina to complete the trip herself, Journey is inviting Tina's friends to take the walk in her absence as a way of celebrating friendships and caring for both Tina as well as any others who are important in their lives.

If you would like to join us, there is plenty of room on the trail for everyone. Bring a partner, a friend, or even someone you would like to know better to share a hands-free, automated couple's walk through the delightful scenery. Even taking the walk alone can be a meaningful way to pay tribute to anyone else that has been important to you.

Walking the complete loop takes over an hour, so don't feel obligated to do the entire thing if you don't want to. Feel free to stop anywhere along the way to sight-see or to return to your other usual activities elsewhere on the grid. Taking a trolley or a horse-drawn carriage along the walking path is another delightful travel option.

The walk begins at or anytime after 2 p.m. Simply use the couple's walk at the location of the LM below and away you'll go!

Coeur d'Azur Seaside Village & Beach-Ville de Coeur, Coeur d Azur (162, 160, 23) - Moderate

If you are interested to walk while holding an event sign in tribute to Tina, a touchable sign will be available at the start. This can signify to others nearby that you are walking with a special purpose.

If you come, I'll see you out on the loop!

With heartfelt appreciation,
Journey Texan for the Ertina Loopen Memorial Foundation

So if you would like to make a contribution to the ACS in Ertina Loopen's name, please feel very welcome to do so at an ACS donation kiosk to be set out at the start/finish line of this walking event, or at:

The Ertina Loopen Memorial Home & Garden official ACS Strides donation kiosk.

Purple Flamingo Beach Party, Kangean  (62, 76, 1501)

My heartfelt thanks in advance to anyone who wants to share a walk or to make a contribution to the American Cancer Society in Tina's name.

Tina's SL inworld grave is inside a little chapel at "Visit Greece" for anyone who would like to visit. Our continued thanks goes to Yin (yingthai) for generously providing and managing that.

Ville de Coeur

After a short break following her exploring some spooky places for Halloween, Gemma Cleanslate is back and looking around second Life for noteworthy locations. A friend recently told her about one she hadn't been to in a while: Ville de Coeur. Owned by Bedrich Panacek-Guisse (Bedrich Panacek) and Ayla Panacek-Guisse (Ayla Guisse), Gemma found their place to be "a rich area with six regions of venues and activities." There's shopping, games, beaches, and picturesque scenery to explore. As this was the time of Veterans Day/Armistice Day, the place had also placed a monument to the fallen.

Last-Minute Christmas Locations

Gemma's had a lot of fun exploring Christmas-themed areas. But with December 25th almost here, there was time for only a few more places for one final article to see them before the holiday. Here, she reviews the North Pole Sleigh Ride Adventure, Haven Woods, and Ville De Coeur.

Ville de Coeur

Wesley Regenbogen recently dropped by a village area, "Ville de Coeur." Designed and owned by Ayla Guisse and Bedrich Panacek, the sim boasts a number of horse drawn carriages for going about, and has music events every few weeks. So what did Wesley think of the village?
