A Little Reminder: Daylight Savings Time Is Tonight

Just a reminder. Tonight Daylight Savings Time begins in the United States (most of it) and a number of other places. At 2 AM, the clock will "spring forward" to 3 PM. So not only are you going to have to go to bed a little early or get up a little later, but you're going to also have to keep this in mind when going to events, or hosting one, both here and real-life.

Oh, and some countries with a number of SL residents, their DST doesn't start for a few more weeks, which can add to the confusion.

Stay timely,

Daylight Davings Time Takes Effect For US And Canada (Mostly)

It's the second Sunday of March. And if you don't know, Daylight Savings Time takes effect for most of the US and Canada. That means last night at 2AM clocks went forward an hour. For most of us, that meant losing an hour of sleep or getting up an hour later. For some, it meant ending up an hour later at events.

But this wasn't the case for everyone. Arizona and some US counties, as well as parts of Canada, do not observe Daylight Savings Time. While most of Europe has it, it doesn't take effect until the last Sunday of March. For countries south of the Equator, it's the opposite. Parts of Australia and New Zeeland will be getting *off* DST in April.

But don't grumble too much. In October, Daylight Savings Time ends, so we'll get the hour of sleep back.

Cartoon of The Day

At a party I dropped by, someone had her pet baby elephant. At one point, it laid down as if to take a snooze. Among the things I thought of was this punchline.

Cartoon of the Day: The Great Debate

Taken at the Clinton HQ in Bay City at September 26 during the Presidential debate. It seems the debate didn't quite hold the interest of one lady. But not everyone is finding fault with her.

Pooped Fox

Writing the news can be a tiring business, especially on top of a real-life job. Here's a scene of me resting at my desk.

Pooped Fox

Yours truly has been pretty busy both getting the news and getting ready for Christmas in real life. And finally the need for sleep caught up before I could finish the additions to "Events This Week." I'll add a few more events later today.
