Veterans Isle Fundraiser Nets Over 60,000 Lindens

 

 

On Monday May 6, there was a fundraiser concert at the Veterans Isle sim. The event was to raise money for the Homes For Our Troops organization. The event took place from 4 to 9 PM SL time. Things started out with Yume Yoshikama as the DJ, then at 5 PM it was RJ Wheels turn to sing. At 6 PM, Agatha Martin took to the stage. And finally at 7PM, Frets Nirvana, who helped organize the event, took to the stage himself with his guitar. 

The crowd was somewhat light, possibly due to it being on a Monday, and several other events going on about the same time, such as the Fantasy Faire. It was mentioned the good that Homes For Our Troops does, and Frets did a little wisecracking between songs.

At the end of the event, a total of 63,300 Linden dollars had been raised.
