Abnormality Shopping Event

 

 For those who haven't been there yet, the Abnormality shopping event is going on. The "human alternative and furry shopping experience" takes place about every season. This August, the theme is "Sugar Rush."

 

 Going on in the sim of the same name, there are numerous shops around, in addition to the "sweet" decor. One can get avatars, mods, and more. 

 

The event will be going on for a few more days to Thursday August 28. 

 

Abnormality Shopping Event

 

For those looking for parts and accessories for nonhuman avatars, one shopping event to check out is Abnormality. Taking place about once a season, the current theme is "The Garden."

 

Stop and smell the roses at the May round of Abnormality! We're celebrating spring with loads of pretty goodies so make sure to check us out this month!

 

The event goes on to Wednesday May 28.

Abnormality Shopping Event

 

 

The Abnormality shopping event is once again active. This "human-alternative and furry shopping experience" is active a few times a year, "serving all human-adjacent and fantasy styles," although a number of the wares are good for those who stick with human avatars.

The theme is season is Badlands, "Are you ready for the apocalypse?" And the grounds have a look of ruin, with a haze over the area as you pan away and surrounded by dead trees. The shops look dilapidated, and there's wreckage in between. And there are numerous avatar skins and parts up for sale.

The event started Aug 7 and goes on to Wednesday the 28th. It takes place in the Abnormality sim.

Cartoon of The Day: Bitey Name

 

 

 Taken at "The Guild" sim of Abnormality. Among the Halloween-themed last names is "Bitey." This guy changed his name so it was both his first name and surname. No word on how "bitey" he really is, though I had some idea of what could provoke him.

Gacha Guild Taking Place

 
The Gacha Guild, a twice a year shopping event, is back in Second Life. This is the first season since Linden Lab banned the sale of items through gacha machines and vendors last month. While the organizers decided they would continue, renaming themselves "The Guild," they're having to sell items though regular methods. So the gachas are gone, and there are no random chances when buying an item. Some items are sold individually. Others through fatpacks. A casual look around showed prices are higher than last season. 

The theme this year is "Dia de Muertos," the area looking like a Latin American town.  One thing that will be the same is the "Halftime Hunt." It will start Friday October 15, and players will have a chance to get some prizes. It's unknown how much of an effect the gacha ban will have on attendance numbers.
