More Halloween Shopping And Health Island In September


Gemma Cleanslatehas been continuing her search for Halloween, and autumn, themed places. Her journey took her to two. At Wonderland Beach, there was a noteworthy hunt going on. Halloweentown was appropriately named, with spooky shops offering decore, as well as a few surprises. But this wasn't all, she would stop by Health Island to see what they had this month.

SLPD Detention Center, Impact and Coffee, and Men's Health at Health Info Island

 
Despite her injury that's caused her hiatus, Gemma Cleanslate managed to complete an almost finished article using her other hand. In her latest, she writes about a new Detention Center that's part of the SLPD, located at Terrapin. The sim was also home to an art show, Impact and Coffee by Ceakay Ballyhoo. And Health Info Island has a new monthly exhibit, this one for men's health.

Mental Health Month At Health Island, Virtual Ability (Event Thursday May 15)

 
May is Mental Health Month. While mental illness is often feared, persistent fear and anxiety count as mental health issues. And these days they seem quite common among friends or ourselves. Gemma Cleanslate checked out the exhibit on Mental Health at Health island, and learned there's an all day event at Virtual Ability, their Mental Health Symposium, on Thursday May 15.

Black History Month at the PBC And Health Island Heart Health

 
Gemma Cleanslate was recently at two locations in Second Life. She stopped by the Premier Business Center's Cultural Arts Center to look at it's Black History Month exhibit, celebrating the accomplishments of Black Americans. Then she stopped by Health Island, which for Valentines Day season has a heart health exhibition.

Mental Health Month at Health Island


Gemma Cleanslate was with Gentle Heron when she led a tour group through Health Island. Besides advising and helping residents with their physical health, it does the same with their mental well-being. This is particularly the case this month as May is Mental Health Month. And in these days of so many people in lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, a number of them could use some help to deal with frazzled nerves. Gemma followed Gentle as she told the group about the exhibition and the "Mental Health Un-Conference."
