Cartoon of the Day: Gone Bananas
Taken at "The Ark" when DJ Tantari was playing. I sometimes wonder if people somehow just know I'm about to drop in, and put on something completely off the wall for a cartoon.

DJ Tantari Honors the SL Newser
DJ Tantari Kim, noted for her high-energy performance, has honored the Newser in the past, such as her playful "True Facts" ribbing of yours truly for our fifth anniversary. Not long ago, she did a music track in honor of the newsletter: Newser, "Dedicated to Bixyl. News is what somebody somewhere wants to suppress. All the rest is advertising." She had tried new things with the track, which played at the Happy Vixen's "Workin' for a Living" party. But she thought it needed improvement, and on Sunday August 13 came up with Newser 2 , "If I tell you a secret, will you promise to keep it keep it close to your heart and never tell a soul?" Well, some things do remain off the record. She played the song at The Ark to an approving audience.
DJ Tantari plays at the Happy Vixen every Tuesday night at 6PM SL time. Rock on Tantari.

The Ark
If you're one of Second Life's longtime furred residents, chances are you've heard of "The Ark." Owned and run by Shadowquine Maltz, this club high above the Quarabia sim has been running for about a decade. If you're looking to socialize, you're sure to find a crowd there as the place runs most if not all of the day and night. But as it's an adult-themed club with nude girls on dancepoles, and with the crowds come lag that can slow down some residents, the place is not for everyone. But despite the lag, people come, "People just like The Ark."

Tantari Kim's "Journey of Sound"
Grease Coakes is back, and his article for today deals with someone who's became a familiar face around the Sunweaver/Angel Estates: Tantari Kim. Once known mainly for being an interesting character with longterm experience of the grid going back to it's Beta days, Tantari's been learning a new talent: DJing. Grease Coakes recently interviewed her about her style of the art, which she describes as her "Journey of Sound."

Happy Rezzday Tantari Kim
Last weekend on Saturday April 5th, long time Second Life resident Tantari Kim celebrated a milestone: her tenth rezzday. Grease Coakes, whom had interviewed her at about the time of Second Life's own tenth birthday, took her to "The Ark" club to celebrate.
They, and others, had a blast that day.
