Cartoon of The Day: When Kitties Attack

Taken at Club Scorn. I was dropping by a friend's set when someone used an unusual gesture on me, covering me with mewing kitties. They soon vanished as fast as they appeared. But that did lead to some chuckles.

Cartoon of The Day: Cat Pranks

Taken at Sunweaver Space. For those who don't know, there's an old college prank in which the prankster will slip a bowl of water under a guy's hand to try to get him to pee in the bed. Considering cats can be mischief-makers, well, they'd try it if they heard about it.

Cats Museum

In real life, cats have proven popular pets, having lived with man for thousands of years and with over 95 million kept as pets in the United States and over eight million in Britain. In Second Life, you can find pet virtual cats in many places. Selena Alexandre has a tribute to our four-footed feline companions, the Cats Museum. Gemma Cleanslate, a cat owner herself, went to have a look.

CATS at Theater On The Hill

One of the best known musicals is "CATS," composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. First performed in 1981, it is the fourth longest running show on Broadway, and has been done on stages and theaters around the world and in twenty languages. Gemma Cleanslate heard about a performance here in Second Life at the Theater on the Hill, and went to see it.

Map Moggy Mayhem at Raglan

A few days ago on Facebook, Linn Darkwatch posted this map screenshot in the Raglan Shire group, showing that a little aerial graffiti had been done over the Raglan Galaxy sim: "CATS RULE." She would demand, "Okay, you TAGS, fess up: who did this?"

To my knowledge, no one has come forward to bear responsibility for this pro-feline statement. Linn's post was followed by snickers and comments like "dey has gone too far dis time!" and "at least it written in purkle."

I would later check the map for myself. The sim's appearance had changed, but the letters were sill there, just now a red color this time.

No telling how long this latest episode of hijinks in Second Life's most noted community of tinies will last.
