The Relay Wrap-Up


It was the end of another successful season for the Relay for Life. 2016 "Once Upon a Cure" had seen many events and millions of Linden dollars raised to help the American Cancer Society. Now it was time to bring the season to an official close with awarding some individuals and teams for their efforts, announcing the theme for next season, and give overall congratulations for a job well done. For one certain reporter, there was a surprise at this year's Wrap-Up.

And The Award Goes To ...


Gemma Cleanslate was among those who attended the Relay Wrap-Up yesterday, the last event of the Relay for Life fundraising season. Congratulations were handed out to all, and awards to several noted Relayers. Among the new awards was the "Community Champion" award. Two individuals were given the award. One was Zander Green. The other turned out to be one of the Second Life Newser crew.

“Fight Like a Girl”

At the invitation of Samantha Nightfire, I went to one of the wrestling matches at the UWS Metrodome. I hadn't seen a wrestling match on the Grid before, nor a match on TV since the 1980's, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Arriving in time to see the women's match, I expected rough, and witnessed rougher.
