ETOB: Spotlight On Locations For Mental Health

 

Second Life has many locations in which people can just relax and chill. But some were made with the mental health of visitors in mind. Plus there are also some groups dedicated to healing of mental conditions.  In this week's "Highlights From The Destination Guide," Linden Lab is putting the spotlight on several locations in which are good for mental wellness. 

 

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and Second Life is home to communities and destinations that offer support, connection, and space to reset. You'll find peaceful meditation gardens, mindfulness centers, peer support groups, veteran communities, wellness retreats, and educational health resources designed to encourage human connection, care, and healing.
 

They would go on to list several locations. Among them,  Circle Mental Health at Nautilus Anath (79/124/3001),  Fearless Nation at Fearless Nation (73/154/30), which the Newser would write about in 2020, Echo Group Band of Brothers, which we wrote about in 2022, Virtual Ability at Virtual Ability (128/128/23), which the Newser has written about numerous times, and more.

Paradise Eiland

On Saturday November 26 a new location will be opening, the Paradise Eiland Retreat and Event Center. It is a place of healing using alternative New Age therapies for bodily and spiritual ills. Becky Shamen was informed about the place and decided to see for herself how the place could help someone. So what did she think?

Just for Men - Men's Health Month on Healthinfo Island

Have you ever been to Healthinfo Island? It is a wonderful place to visit with a library of so much health information resources for you. June is Men’s Health Month.

Now, most men seem to ignore health information in RL, it is said. Well, now is your opportunity go to check out the abundance of resources aimed at just you. You can go in the quiet of the day or night and find out so much you need to know. There is information on the screenings you may need and medical conditions that you would not even think of! You are able to take a trivia challenge and see how really savvy you are … or not.

Did you know that there are conditions that you can have that are similar to women … like male menopause? Go see. It is free and all set up for your convenience. There are three areas to visit on the island. You have until the end of June to get there.
