Announcement: This Saturday at The Science Circle - "Environmental Challenges For Human Habitability"

"Fire, Flood, Drought, Repeat, Environmental Challenges For Human Habitability"

 Saturday November 14

10 AM to 11 AM SL time

By Linda M. Kelley

Every morning when I awake, I notice it’s too cloudy to see the sunrise. You may have noticed this too where you are. Smoke from the megafires in the western US has blanketed my dawn sky. I am thousands of miles away so safe from the flames, but not safe from the fallout – none of us are. I had hoped against hope that this year we would not be having to deal with fire maelstroms and megafires but if anything, they are worse than last year. Some communities are seriously grappling with the science and ethics so that they can effectively address these challenges over the long-term. Join us to hear updates and discuss what we can do.

"Welcome to Hell" at Challenges

Now that I have recovered from  my visit to The Corner Haunted House ( link to story), I can tell you about another one you will not want to miss! This one created by Hotnwildinnc Solo and Felgood812 is at Challenges.

The sign at the door is a warning! Welcome to Hell.  If you enter, be prepared for the worst.  There are bloody footprints to follow as your guide through the maze of rooms, each filled with disaster. Every step becomes an adventure as you weave your way through the darkness. Strange images appear as well as torture machines that give more than goose bumps.

Be wary! Things appear and disappear. The descent into Hell is rapid and unexpected. Fortunately there is a way out! But, it is not over yet. The maze continues.

For lovers of Halloween this is a real treat!!  Get ready for it! Don’t miss the outside ghouls either! http://slurl.com/secondlife/Challenges/160/189/1156
