Lichtbringer's 16 Fields and the LEA Photo Contest


Klaus Bereznyak recently dropped by LEA26 to get a look at the exhibit there, a build called "16 Fields" by a group of three artists calling themselves "Lichtbringer." There was much to see, and something to do, a photography contest. So what did he think of the exhibition?

Betty Tureaud’s LEA27


Gemma Cleanslate recently checked out Betty Tureaud's new exhibit at LEA 27, which was part of a four sim area marked 5D on the map, and a collaboration with three other artists: Tansee, Gem Priz and Mandel Solano. She explored around for a while, then wrote about her adventure. So what did she think?

The Weekend in Brief



This weekend saw several events take place. One was the discussion about the new Bright Canopy tablet and PC viewer on Saturday (picture above). Also that day, noted SL artist Bryn Oh held a a music event on her Immersiva sim. That evening, Marianne McCann held the last of her firework shows for the year. Sunday saw the opening of the Sound Mind exhibit at LEA 26. Taking place before and after the weekend were the 10th Anniversary Story Hunt at Bare Rose, and the Fifth Annual Renaissance Fair.

New Installation at LEA 26


Gemma Cleanslate was at the unveiling of the new exhibition at the LEA 26 sim. The opening in itself was quite an experience. But so was the sim itself, with it's numerous instruments. There was also a movie set there which was the spot where noted machinima maker Chantal Harvey's latest video, "Godzilla Eats Las Vegas."

Pinwheels at LEA 26


Since August, there's an interesting art exhibit in the LEA26 sim, Pinwheels. Made using a fractal art program, the result is a huge build one can pan out and look from above, or walk down it, going down the twisting path or colorful triangular fractals. Second Life Newser not only got a few pictures of the display, but also talked to it's creator Mac Kanashimi.
