EOTB: SL22B Exhibitor Showcase
At the heart of Second Life's momentous 22nd birthday celebration lies a treasure trove of creativity: over 500 exhibitors showcasing 244 mesmerizing exhibits across 19 regions. These exhibits tell the stories of the heroes, myths, and legends created by our talented Residents, all blossoming from the boundless imagination of our community.
This year’s SL22B theme, Myths and Legends, celebrates the adventures we craft in Second Life. Just like the tales we weave inworld, this exhibitor’s showcase is a tribute to the characters and stories that make us all the heroes of our own journeys.
The blog post had a list of all 224 Exhibits, categorizing them by what sim they were in, with the Adult-rated ones listed last. The Lab also stated they will be in the Destinations Guide, though at the time of the writing of this article, the entry was blank. Presumably it will be finished in time for the event.Friday, May 31, 2024

Second Life Birthday Starts Today
*
Today is the first day of the Second Life Birthday. At 10 AM today, the exhibits open. And among the exhibits to check out is that of the Newser.
Built by Silvia Ametza, the build fits the Steampunk theme (though a few of the controls may be a tad on the Dieselpunk side. Drop by SLB Imagination (176/75/23) to see it.
At 12 Noon SL time are the Opening Ceremonies, to be done by Patch Linden. After that, Strawberry Linden will be doing a special Lab Gab on the event, looking around the various exhibits and places. (Click here for the Youtube link).
See you there.

Weekend At A Glance
Plenty happened this weekend in Second Life. The Fantasy Faire was going on, including the dance event of the FF roleplay group Society of Extraordinary Explorers (SEE) in The Amethyst Rift (above) which raised a whopping one and a half million Lindens! This is believed to be the largest amount raised at a single event. Other events included the art exhibition opening party in the Confederation of Democratic Simulators featuring the work of Sanjeewa Kumara and Sujeewa Kumari of Sir Lanka and the late Artistic Fimicloud of the Sunweaver community, the fourteenth anniversary party of Furry Fashion, an episode of the Odd Ball featuring DJ Tantari Kim, and more.
More on some of these events later.
