Crew Meeting

A few days ago on Saturday April 9, the Newser team held it's monthy crew meeting at our main office in HV Community. Attending were Gemma Cleanslate, Rosie (RougeRedHead01 Resident), Dancerina Starlight, Penny Shuftan (DeafLegacy Resident), and myself. We would talk about possible subjects to cover, including the recent VWBPE conference, the debut of "Virtual Cultures in Pandemic Times," the upcoming Fantasy Faire, and more.

While we were having the meeting, we heard a noise outside. Looking around, it was Cynthia Farshore flying around in a Cessna. She would pass by the office a few times. I tried to take a picture, but just got the tail.

Hopefully I'll have better luck with the plane pictures at the Air Show later on.

Crew Meeting

 

The Newser Crew meeting last week on December 11, at our office in HV Community. Currently, we have only a few writers. So it was just me (Bixyl Shuftan) and Gemma Cleanslate there, along with Penny Shuftan whom while currently on medical leave was also there, hoping to make a partial return in the near future. We discussed what the past month had delivered, and things to write about in the month ahead.
 

Crew Meeting

Saturday May 8 was the monthly crew meeting of the Second Life Newser. It took place at Noon SL time at it's main office in HV Community. Present (from right to left were Kayly Iali, Dancerina Starlight, Gemma Cleanslate, Bixyl Shuftan (myself), and Rosie (RougeRedHead01). We talked about some articles that had gotten attention, and hot topics at present and the near future.

We've been busy in both real life and Second Life, and because of this some of us haven't finished some articles we've been working on. But we'll finish those soon. We just need to tackle a few things on our side of the computer.

Crew Meeting

Last week on Saturday September 12, The Newser had it's monthly crew meeting at it's office in HV Communitty. Cyfir had recently turned in his resignation due to real-life matters, so it was down to me and Gemma Cleanslate. Penny (Deaflegacy) hasn't been writing as much due to health matters, but was able to attend, expressing hopes she'll soon be able to write more.

The Newser has always been open to new talent. So if you like going about Second Life and like to write, feel free to send an application about joining up. Send inquires to bixylshuftan@gmail.com .

Crew Meeting

On Saturday August 8 at Noon SL time, the Newser had a crew meeting at it's office in HV Community. Besides Gemma Cleanslate and I (Bixyl Shuftan), also there was Angel Fencer (Ender Leven), whom should be returning to writing articles after a real-life interruption, and Nydia Tungsten. Cyfir wasn't about to show up due to real life.

We discussed some possible ideas for articles. And what ideas will these be? Stay tuned to find out.

Crew Meeting

On Saturday April 11, a few of the Newser crew would meet up at our office in HV Community, Cyfir (Cyfiremmerich), Gemma Cleanslate, Nydia Tungsten (appeared after this picture), and myself. We would talk about recent developments, and swap ideas on what to write about this month.

In her hopping around Easter Town, Gemma picked up a bunny suit, and something else. She had an attachment that would have grass sprouting around her, even indoors. Was this a request for more plants in the office? Gemma wasn't saying.

Last Saturday, February 1, the Newser crew held a staff meeting at our office in HV Community to swap ideas for events. Attending from left to right were Gemma Cleanstlate, Bixyl Shuftan (myself), Penny (Deaflegacy), new reporter Angel Fencer (Ender Leven), and Cyfir (Cyfiremmerich Resident). My friend Velani was also there.

January was a month that allowed us a slight breather after the Christmas season, which allowed us to write about things such as "Top Stories of the 2010s" and "Bus Tour Across Second Life." February has always been a bit more active with Valentines Day, then One Billion Rising. But with the start of the Relay for Life fundraising season moved up from March to February, well, it makes things interesting.
