BAY CITY, SL (2 December 2025) -  Celebrate the holidays once again as the Bay City Alliance hosts its annual Tree Lighting event on the 7th of December, 2025, from 1-4 pm SLT, at the Bay City Fairgrounds, in North Channel ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/North%20Channel/128/128/24/ ). 

DJ GoSpeed of KONA Stream will start off the event, followed by crowd favorites  AleyKat (Aleylia Resident) and Maximillion Kleene. In addition to the music, the event will also feature ice-skating, dancing, and refreshments.

As part of the event, a silent auction supporting Child's Play Charity (www.childsplaycharity.org) will be held. Bay City has supported Child’s Play through the holidays for many years, and is very happy to continue this partnership.

Dozens of items will be available including one-of-a-kind art, vehicles from top Second Life creators, home furnishings, gift cards, and much more.

Additional Second Life® designers and artists who wish to participate by providing fun, interesting, unique, or other transferrable items (or a no-copy object that the auction winner can give to you to redeem their prize, if the item(s) have to be no transfer) may contact ThomasHooker Resident to participate.

Auction will end at the conclusion of the event. All proceeds from the silent auction and from donation bins at the venue will go to Child's Play Charity. A TRADITION RETURNS: BAY CITY’S ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING

Holiday charity event set for 1 December

BAY CITY, SL (25 November, 2024) - Now a yearly tradition in the City by the Bay, the Bay City Alliance will host its annual Tree Lighting event on Sunday, Saturday, 1st December 20214 from 1-4 pm SLT at the Bay City Fairgrounds, in North Channel ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/North%20Channel/128/128/24/ ).

The event will feature DJ GoSpeed of KONA Stream and live performances by Coralie and Maximillion Kleene. There will be much joy to be had, including ice-skating, dancing, refreshments and a whole lot of fun for all!

As part of the event, a silent auction supporting Child's Play Charity (www.childsplaycharity.org) will be held. Bay City has supported Child’s Play for many years, and is happy to support them once more

A HOLIDAY TRADITION: BAY CITY’S TREE LIGHTING, CONCERT, AND FUNDRAISER

Annual event Returns on 3rd of December

BAY CITY, SL (11 November, 2023) - The Bay City Alliance will once again host its annual Tree Lighting event on Sunday, 3rd December 2021 from 1-4 pm SLT at the Bay City Fairgrounds, in North Channel ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/North%20Channel/128/128/24/). The event will feature DJ GoSpeed of KONA Stream and live performances by Wolfie Starfire and Essence Bilasimo. There will be much mirth to be had, as well as ice-skating, dancing, refreshments and a whole lot of fun for all!

As part of the event, a silent auction supporting Child's Play Charity (www.childsplaycharity.org) will be held. At our 2022 event, we raised L$151576, and intend to break that in 2023.

As of this date, several creators, artists, and brand have offered items for the auction, including Madpea, the Genus Project:, Javatar Mocha, Buzzbox Munro, Junk Food, Cica Ghost, Shippe & Saille, Plato Novo, Caly Applewhyte, ChristiSart, Dutch Mainsail, and Vicious Hollow.

Announcement: Bay City Tree Lighting Event

It’s that most wonderful time of the year!

Once again, the Bay City Alliance will host its annual Tree Lighting event, now in its eighth outing, on Sunday, 9th December 2018 from 1-4 pm SLT.

The event will be held at the Bay City Fairgrounds, in North Channel (SLurl) and will feature DJ GoSpeed Racer as well as live performances by Melinda M. Baptiste and Erika Ordinary.

There will be ice-skating, dancing, refreshments and a great deal of fun to be had!

We will once again be supporting  Child’s Play , a charity that helps kids still be kids when they are in hospital, with donation kiosks around the venue.

Bay City's Tree Lighting Party

Last Saturday, Bay City, Second Life's largest urban area, had their annual Christmas-themed party, the "Tree Lighting." There was music dancing, a Linden among the crowd, a "silent auction" to help raise funds for a children's charity, and of course the Christmas tree.

The Bay City Tree Lighting

On Sunday December 8, the Bay City area, a multisim region made to represent the classical North American urban experience, held it's annual tree lighting party. Three musicians performed for those attending, in addition to a silent auction held to raise money for the Childs Play charity, in addition to some skating and fireworks. A Bay City Christmas

On Saturday December 8, Bay City held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting party. DJs played music and people skated around on a rink. There were also items up for auction, the money going to a children's charity. Grease Coakes was there, and wrote about the event.
