Scenes From Bellisseria

From Treeowatoor on Bellisseria. In a beachside pub/hangout, I came across this sign. It was supposed to say "Please do not feed or tease the Moles." But someone underlined "do" and crossed out "not."

So which do we do?

Raglan Shire Map Masking

Raglan Shire's known for it's occasional map mayhem, someone erecting a sign over a sim big enough to cover it. This time, it's a reminder for people to take precautions during the Coronavirus crisis, which so far has claimed close to a half million deaths around the world, a hundred and twenty thousand in the US alone.

Anniversary Gift From The Ivory Tower

Remember our "Big Ten" picture in our anniversary article last week? It was made at the Ivory Tower in Natoma, run by Avi Arrow. Avi happened to see it as it was being made, and asked what was up. Hearing the reason, she promised to send a small present. A few days later, she sent me several signs, with one going on the side of the Newser office.

Thanks again Avi

Ice Floes off Bellisseria

The SS Galaxy isn't the only new sight in the Bellisseria costal areas. On the center east in the Moonia sim, I spotted these four ice floes on the map. Heading over, one had a small fishing shelter.

But that wasn't all. There was a sign, "Hunt starts here. Touch for LM." So it could be there will soon be a gift hunt for Second Life residents. Stay tuned for details.

Raglan Shire's "Merry Prankster" Strikes Again

Over time, a certain character (or perhaps two or more pretending to be the same person) known as the "Merry Prankster" has left a series of signs and other amusing sights over the Raglan Shire sims that can be seen only on the map (or way above the sim at the right height). A few days ago, he or she left something high over the Raglan Galaxy sim: a sign with the words "do not eat the yellow snow."  "The Merry Prankster offers sage New Year's advice over Raglan Galaxy,"Linn Dorkwatcher posted on Facebook, with one person responding, "Don't tell me what to do! I'll eat the lemon slushy if I want!" Another went, "The best kind!"

Taking a look at the map again this weekend, the sign had been altered slightly. So what does "B K O D" mean? And will we find out before the Merry Prankster strikes again? Perhaps we'll soon see.

Addition: Linn would message me, saying BKOD means "Basement Kitteh(s) Of Doom."
