Mutant Turkey Monster Prowls Montecito Bay
Gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble!

Gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble!
Thanksgiving has taken a strange and scary turn in the community of Montecito Bay. There have been sightings of a huge mutant beast resembling a four-legged turkey prowling the streets. While Montecito Bay has been the source of wild tales, this one has some pictures as evidence.
The beast shown in the pictures, and eyewitness descriptions, is a quadraped about twice the size of a normal human or anthro. Most of the creature is covered in turkey feathers, including a large plume of them in the back. Only the lower back legs, which resemble that of a feline, have any hairs. On the sides are two wings which are probably too small to small for it to really fly, probably. But it would be able to glide from someplace high to the ground. The head and neck are like those of a turkey, but much larger and stronger. The beak appears sharp and with the presumed size and strength of the creature is likely capable of tearing holes into someone or taking off limbs.
A number of Montecito Bay's streets have dim to no lights. So residents in the city are advised to avoid traveling down these streets alone at night. And should you hear "gobble-gobble-gobble" sounds that don't seem right, RUN! You just might end up some mutant turkey's Thanksgiving dinner.

Taken at Cape Heron. That's me on the left with a feral cat avie, having just changed from another avatar, but the hair stayed for some reason.

Furry Fashion Meets Rocky Horror
The horror. The funky horror. The Rocky Horror.
On Saturday night, October 22, the Furry Fashion Lounge held their Rocky Horror Picture Show event. This wasn't a showing of the cult movie noted for fans who make the movie into a social event, dressing up and acting out at certain scenes, but rather playing the music in the movie, in addition to a few others that seemed appropriate, and those attending encouraged to dress up in the spirit of the movie. While someone asked, "How does a G/PG club do a very un-PG movie for an event?" Everyone was assured as long as they kept their privates covered, they were fine.
And who was DJing? The wild and crazy ScratchMusikatt who dressed the part of Frank N. Frutter, complete with codpiece and fishnet stockings. When yours truly suggested Scratch couldn't live down any pictures published, he remarked, "Hehehe! I've played Frank in an LIVE presentation of RHPS my fine foxy friend. I have NO shame (grin)." One of the people there commented, "You are awesome! There's no shame to have."
The Furry Fashion Lounge has events every day of the week except Mondays, located at Furry (159, 200, 113).

Gallery 1 at Palais Orleans
You probably recall a few weeks ago I wrote about the reopening of the
newly built Palais Orleans Gallery in Gardenia Islands ( http://slnewserdesign.It displays the works of two artists, which will be the theme of Gallery 1 from now on, Maloe Vansant and Burk Bode. These are exotic and introspective pieces. Read the poem on the wall, "The Weirdo and I," which will give you a clue to the pieces, I think.
A question in the poem poses, “How much of my inner
weirdo can I show to the outside?” Something to ponder. Some of the pieces will
require a lot of thought .... in the eye of the beholder.
