The White Vixen Enterprises Party

The Happy Vixen beach club and the Club Zero Gravity space club are the best known parts of White Vixen Enterprises, owned by Nydia Tungsten. But the organization also runs the Purrfection Estates sim, does a number of music videos, and more. Several days ago, Nydia threw a party the staff of the group at Mousehole Manor in Pacific Waters.

It is that time of year again, time for the WVE staff party to say thank you to all of YOU. YOU make these clubs and projects work there will be TWO THOUSAND L's up for grabs with DJ Snowbuns taking her turn spinning the tunes for you all. It will be at the castle from 7 to 10 slt


Besides the club DJs, hosts and hostesses, and managers, sim managers, and others, some friends of the group were also invited over. But only those considered staff were eligible for the contest prize of 2000 Lindens. DJ Snowbuns, aka Skylark Lefavre, played the music for the party with a mix of rock and pop from easygoing to energetic. Skylark does double-duty at the Happy Vixen as a manager and one of it's DJs. Club Zero Gravity is run by Ranchan Wiedman with help from Matoazma Kazyanenko.

A great time was had by Nydia and her friends during the event that went on for a little more than three hours. The large prize was split between three people. It was a well-deserved break for the staff.

New SL Newser Office in Minecraft

Nydia's new Minecraft server, mentioned here, has continued to develop. Yours truly was invited to build a new office building near the Angels Village, though I answered as busy as I was, it could be a while before it went up. So Skylark Lefarve built one on her own, using a skyscraper template.

Changes at Castaway Cove

It's been almost a year since Castaway Cove first made the scene at the Kalmeere sim. With it's unique look, a beach club between two halves of a wrecked pirate ship, it certainly stands out among social spots in Second Life. For the past several months, the club has had regular activities under the direction of Skylark Lefarve, with Kitacelia recently taking on the job of hostess.


Kitacelia wanted to make the club more than just a great place to party, but also emphasize it being a cool place to just hang out and have fun. The club now sports a bar where one can get drinks. There's also a number of games there, a blackjack table has been installed. So has a pool table, where one can play games of billiards. There's ping pong. There's a dart board. There's bowling. There's a couple arcade games, including Tetris. There's a mechanical bull which keeps track of the lowest time. And there's the mud wrestling ring, which has proven to be a favorite attraction among a number of the regulars. And the Clue and Greedy-Greedy games which were already there are still here, along with the boats and jet skis.

Kitacelia made a group announcement recently that the club's DJs would be taking on a regular schedule most weeks. On Tuesdays at 8PM SL time, DJ Perri would play the music. On Thursdays at 8PM, DJ Kryxia would spin the tunes. And every Saturday at 8PM, the two would alternate.

"Bid Me Human" Passionate Redhead Event at Club Cutlass Raises over 30,000

Last year, the Passionate Redheads raised much of their donations through three "Bid Me Human" events, a spinoff of the "Bid Me Bald" events held by some other teams. On Friday May 11th, the team held it's first one for the year at Club Cutlass. Those attending had a choice to choose the fate of the volunteer by donating to two kiosks. So was it "power to the fur," or "skin to win?"
