Events This Week at the Sunweaver Clubs

It's a week full of events at the Sunweaver Clubs. The Happy Vixen is expanding it's hours to five days a week with the addition of Wednesday and Friday mornings. This week, the beach club has Halloween themes with Weird Science, Best in Black and Green, Best in Black, Villains, and of course the Halloween Party. But it still has it's beach party on Sundays. Cutlass is still going strong with it's Comedy Night, Best in Green, and it's own Halloween Party.

It's a week full of events at the Sunweaver/Angel clubs. At the Happy Vixen, feel free to "wing it" in "Best in Wings, you might see spots before your eyes at "Spots and Stripes," and for those who can't wait for spook-tacular fun next month, there's "Early Halloween." For Cutlass, the alphabet themes begin again with "Best in A," and things get a little steamy with "Steampunk."

It's another fun week at the Sunweaver Clubs.  At the Happy Vixen, we're experiencing the sweet smell of friendship with our "Skunk Party," and our "Mice vs Bunnies" night.  At Cutlass, it's "Best in U and V," "Feeling Blue," and "British invasion" night.

It's a fun week at the Sunweaver Clubs.  At the Happy Vixen, were yuking it up with a "Comedy Night" with Weird Al music, and a "Cartoon/Anime" night.  At Cutlass, it's "Best in T,", "Circus," and "Black and White" night.

Classic Rock Club "The Vinyl" Goes on Hiatus

The Sunweaver Estates is known for it's clubs. But one of them has gone inactive, at least for now. This week, it was announced that the Vinyl Museum would be indefinitely closed to regular events.

Until further notice from Perri, Vinyl is semi-closed. The club is still open for use there just won't be any events until Perri comes online and is able to stay online to handle issues. We can't run with no Managers and DJs. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope this won't make you give up on us.

Opening in May 2009 as Club Xanadu, a classic club with the design based on the Pan Pacific Auditorium which in the movie "Xanadu" was turned into a club. with Perri Prinz and RECoyote Mindes as co-owners and Perri the regular DJ. Perri had a reputation for being a good DJ, with one of the best selections of 60s and 70s classic rock. Even though the club was later renamed "Green Meadows," and then "The Vinyl Museum," people have continued to call it "Perri's Xanadu," and more recently just "The Vinyl."

The club has temporarily closed a few times in the past, last reopening in December 2013. Taking the Tuesday and Thursday time slots that were done by Club Zero Gravity before it closed, the club has continued to do well until recently, being among those taking part in Second Life Newser's anniversary parties. But Perri has had to take an indefinite break from Second Life to help out family in real life. That led to the decision to put regular events on hold until the Sunweaver's popular bunnygirl DJ can return.

The Second Life Birthday and Fourth of July may be over, and the Relay Weekend may not be until later this month. But there's lots of events going on at the Sunweaver clubs. From "Best in N," "White Night," and "Summer Fun," at Cutlass, to "Pool Party" and "Good vs Evil" at The Vinyl, and the beach parties at the Happy Vixen, there are events six days a week. So come on over and have fun.

On Thursday, get out your collars, ears, and tails for the "Dog Days of Summer." At Cutlass, it's "Best in K" and others.

It's a special week at the Sunweaver Clubs. The Newser itself gets special treatment as the clubs throw parties in honor of it's fifth anniversary at The Vinyl, Cutlass, and the Happy Vixen, with larger prizes given out. At the Vinyl, things get sleepy with a slumber party, then wake right up for "Stars and Stripes" and "Primary Colors." At Cutlass, it's "Best in J" and "Roller Skates."

It's a new week for the Sunweaver Clubs. At the new Club Cutlass it's "Gimmie a D" as they have their "Best in D," then things get spacy as they have "Outer Space," and then things go from cold to red hot with "Fire and Ice." At The Vinyl, the place gets hit with a boarding party as they have their Pirate party, followed by a night of wanderers as they have their Gypsy night.

Events at the Sunweaver Clubs

It's an exciting week for the Sunweaver Clubs. Club Cutlass gets B-rated as it has "Best in B." Then it plays the blues for "Blue and Purple." And finally patrons will be asked to spread their wings for "Flying Away." At "The Vinyl," DJ Shockwave will get into the cloak and dagger routine with "Secret Agent Night." Then the place gets a bit "catty" as it has it's "Cats vs Canines" event.

It's an exciting week for the Sunweaver Clubs. The new Club Cutlass gets into it's routine going from the silly to the serious with it's "April Fool's" party, followed by a "Formal Night" and wrapping things up with a "Beach Party." At "The Vinyl," the silliness continues with their "Silly Night," and they get into the Easter spirit with "Bunny Night." And the new club on the block, Castle Primal Passions, has a Relay for Life benefit the weekend with a tribute band performing in a concert.

Some St. Patrick's Places and Events

"Top o' th' Mornin' an' happy Saint Potty's Day." There's a number of events to go to, and places to see. One just needs to know where to look.

One obvious place to look for goings-on is the Destinations Guide at (http://secondlife.com/destinations ). One of the events there was the "St. Patrick's Street Party" at the Edelfabrik sim.

Also was the London City Irish Festival in the London City sim, "Enjoy a month-long festival of Irish-themed entertainment in London City. Come see the the best from the emerald isles, including bands, pub crawls, themed events, and collectables."

And the spot where every seasoned avatar goes to at least once on St. Patrick's Day: the Dublin sim. One ends up at an entry point next to an information guide and teleport markers. From there, one can port on over to the Blarney Stone pub, where one can raise a pint of ale to other partiers at this most Irish of social spots.

These are just a few of the many holiday-themed events. Many clubs will be having their own St. Patrick's parties. Among them, the club nearest the SL Newser building, "The Vinyl," at HV Community (67/207/4051).

A new month is here at the Sunweaver Clubs, and with it new events. Come to The Vinyl for it's Star Trek vs Star Wars and Cops & Robbers events, and you can "Rock on" and get "Silly" at Club Cutlass.

One Hot Party at "The Vinyl"

Thursday February 19 was "Best in Fire" at the classic rock club "The Vinyl." At 6PM, a number of residents dropped by to listen to the talented Perri Prinz spin a number of tunes in theme with the event. Most were wearing outfits to match the theme such as red or flame patters, or sporting demonic avatars or flame animations. The dance floor was also flickering with red hot flames, "Don't worry, it's concrete underneath."

DJ Perri played a number of smoking hot tunes, such as "Heat Wave," "Hot Line," "Disco Inferno," "Some Like it Hot," and Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire."

Love, is a burnin' thing,
And it makes, a firey ring.
Bound, by wild desire,
I fell, into a ring of fire.

I fell into a burnin' ring of fire.
I went down, down, down,
and the flames went higher.
And it burns, burns, burns,
the ring of fire, the ring of fire.

About two dozen attended the party that night. The prize that night for the best appearance in theme was raised to a red-hot $1250, of which Nikolinni Mhia was the winner.

"The Vinyl" has regular events held twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 PM SL time, and is located in HV Community (67/207/4051) .

With Mardi Gras week over, February is coming to a close. But there's still plenty to dance to at the Sunweaver clubs. Hop over to The Vinyl's formal party and "Best in Blue" events. And at Club Cutlass, head over for "Best in W" (Bush Jr mask optional), Friday Fantasy, or just come over and get "Superpowered."
