SL Video" Gravity Is A Mistake"

By Haveit Neox on June 6, "Eupalinos Ugajin's 'Gravity is a Mistake' is a full sim exhibit in the virtual world of Second Life®. His sim and artwork fill the stage for a levitating experience. Included are guest artists whose pieces dot the environment. Always highly scripted, one never knows in what circumstance they will find themselves next, except for one, they will quickly discover that gravity is a mistake.

"The installation continues till the end of June 2016 on the LEA21 sim in Second Life®

"If I am able to get a full list of the participating artists, I'll post them here. As the exhibit is up for three more weeks, Eupalinos may welcome yet more artists to add their work, in which case the list grows."

The LEA3 Entrance

Gemma Cleanslate has been visiting the Linden Endowment of the Arts area again. She heard about a bar at the entrance of LEA3, though this one serves more than just drinks. Created by Eupalinos Ugajin, he describes his work as having "influences as diverse as Kafka and Joni Mitchell." So what did Gemma think?

"Taxy! to the Zircus"

There's a new artistic build at the MetaLES sim, "Taxy! to the Zircus."  By Eupalinos Ugajin, this surreal looking exhibition invites visitors to become part of the artwork by clicking on it. Both Gemma Cleanslate and Fritter Enzyme took a look. So what did they think?

LEA 20 and the Moving Islands

It was a very moving experience , literally. I received an invitation to a new installation to the LEA 20 collective project called Moving Islands. What wonderful fun!! There are so  many people involved in this installation I can’t list them all! But you can see all the names at http://lindenarts.blogspot.com/2013/10/now-open-moving-islands.html , and images of some of the art you will experience. 

 

The installation is headed up by Eupalinos Ugajin. I arrived in the entry and after collecting gifts from an egg,  jumped in a boat headed for the sim outside. When I looked back I was coming out of a fun clownface  house entrance. Ahead of me was a vast ocean covered with all kinds of ships: some to sit in and ride along, some to view as amazing and frightening. All of a sudden, the boat dumped me on the bottom of the ocean.  I walked for a while and found buildings rising from under the ocean and spiraling upward over the waters. I flew up to find some place to continue the view and clicking on various points found myself participating in so many adventures. 

 

I boarded a ship and began running in a treadmill, like a chipmunk, propelling  the boat through the sim.  Moving on I found myself upside down dangerously under water in a octopus like build.  I hopped  over to check out a book in the corner that had several amazing mesh looking bodies before it.  Having enough of that I jumped over to a ship that was being pulled by a fish and sat quietly at a desk while mulling over my next move. I passed several ships that looked to me like dreams from the past, perhaps lost sailors searching for land.

Gemma Cleanslate

While The Music Lasts

 Kikas Barbenco and Marmaduke Arado invited me to the opening of another really fun filled opening at LEA 25, titled “You are the Music While the Music Lasts.”  They colaborated in the building there with  Eupalinos Ugajin and Simotron Aquila.  I went to one about two months ago and had a wonderful time clicking everything in sight! One ends up within the art project itself by doing that. 

In order to get to everything you are going around and around on a planned route and objects are all there. If someone is using it you will have to wait a bit but you can grab on to the next one. Many of the artists of SL were there having a ball as usual. Marmaduke took some pictures and you can see build on flickr here . http://www.flickr.com/photos/28090997@N03/sets/72157632356332391/ But, only take a look to get the idea. It is much more fun to grab some friends and take a trip over there. 

You will love the exhibit and laugh at the situations in which you will find yourself. Eupalinos told me the exhibit will be there until the end of February.

Virtual Unreality

Gemma Cleanslate recently was invited to another interactive art showing. This time it was in LEA23, called "Virtual Unreality." There, she, and the other artists present, had a little fun with the exhibitions, becoming part of the art.
